Bill Whittle has given us many reasons for not making Donald Trump the republican candidate for President. The most important reason is that Donald Trump isn't a true conservative. I won't vote for less that a true conservative. If Donald Trump wants my vote he'll have to change some of his liberal positions and prove to me that he is sincere in his beliefs. None of the polls have shown that he can beat Hillary Clinton in the presidential election. Both Cruz and Rubio have shown in the polls that they can.

Seems to me Trump is the only candidate who can bring the "Reagan" Democrats over for their vote this November. I don't think Rubio or Cruz has that ability and we will need that this election. Plus, Trump will rip Hitlery or Bernout a new one in any debates they have, not that either Rubio or Cruz couldn't, but Trump is a take no prisoners kind of mentality.

What good will it do for Donald Trump to bring Reagan democrats over for their votes if he can't secure the conservative republican base. If the race come down to Trump and Hillary you'll have the choice of voting for the lesser of two evils. A vote for the lesser of two evils is still a vote for evil. Haven't we had enough of voting for the lesser of two evils?

I haven't seen these polls. When were they taken? They go against my instincts.

Tune into Fox News, John. The results of these polls have been broadcast many times. They're nationwide polls.

Rubio is an acceptable candidate, but Rubio is Cruz-lite. He's the establishments choice of a conservative candidate. If Cruz doesn't become the party's candidate then he should be nominated to the Supreme Court should a republican candidate win the election for president. Cruz is a conservative in the image of Antonin Scalia.

Thanks for the link, Muggs. I never watch Fox News. Nor do I trust polls. I'm not convinced Hillary will be the Dem nominee, superdelegates or not.

The editorial after that was even better... about Hillary's lawlessness.

Fasting cry-babies and their limp minions wont get Cruz elected. But it will be a good show.

Trump is awesome. He (possibly Cruz also) is the only one that can save this country from its final demise. We don't need a conservative purist.

We have a left wing ego maniac in office now. Will a right wing ego maniac be any better? I agree with Whittle that there are reasons to vote for Trump and reasons not to. I will give him credit for bringing a lot of closet conservatives out to vote. My heart says "Trump!". My brains says "Not so Fast!" Am having a rough time deciding this time around. However, as has been stated, I'm sick of voting for the lesser of two evils. Wish I could be sold on Cruz or Rubio but having problems there also. I have liked Carson from the beginning - but?

I thought that the most important part of Bill's speech was: To quit throwing rocks at those that don't like the same candidate as you. To try and remain friends no matter what someone else thinks about your candidate, and that can't we all just get along. He also had the humbleness to admit that he is not going to change anyone's vote, no matter what he says. Some people think if they jump up and down and scream Cruz is the only conservative long enough, that will convince people to change their vote.
Muggsy, I don't believe you when you say only a true conservative gets your vote. You voted for McCain, Romney, and Bush didn't you. Are those TRUE conservatives, I don't think so, but they beat the alternative.
Since Bush is out of the race, I'm going to vote for whoever the people select as the nominee. Unless they GOP plays tricks to get one of their puppets the nomination some how.
The Republicans at least have a decent selection to choose from this year.
