Trump keeps saying that IF (that's a big if) he's elected he's going to build a wall and Mexico is going to pay for it. It's going to be huge! How many of you know that the wall has already been paid for, not once, but twice and that you are the people who paid for it? Congress twice approved the funding for the wall, but the money was spent on ancillary projects or otherwise diverted. Trump has also promised to bring back manufacturing jobs back from China and Mexico. Would you like to guess what the price of your new iPhone6 would be if it was manufactured in the U.S. under the union label? Sometimes the water looks inviting, but you don't know what lies just below the surface. By the way, have all of you Trump supporters pledged your allegiance to him as he has asked his supporters to do. I pledged my allegiance to the flag of the United States of America.

Exactly!

Muggsy, I always knew you had it in ya'! That is exactly the point. Previous administrations supported by members of both parties have allocated and wasted BILLIONS of our dollars on things they never intended to complete.

Trump WILL build that wall, not misappropriate the funding for it into pork projects for donors he would otherwise be beholden to, since he is not accepting their campaign donations to begin with.

See? We agreed on something.

It's one I could live with. I hate walls. I've been looking at four walls a winter. Give me space, Lots of space. Don't fence me in.

I sure miss the days when I was deployed during election years. All I had to do was mail in my absentee ballot and got to miss all the BS leading up to the election.

It would be $600 plus just like it is now with less profit to Apple most likely. They charge the max people will pay regardless where its made.

Actually I wish someone would take my wife's and daughters iphone but that is a different subject. Then they would call and talk instead of texting like a couple of nuts. Drives me crazy.

Even if the price went up to $800, the carriers would just bump up the monthly installments a few bucks, or extend the payment period, and no one would feel it.

How is it we could afford American made electronics 30-40 years ago, but not now? Something else happened, besides China making stuff cheaper. Could it be inflation, intentionally caused by the Fed policies? An intentional devaluing of the currency without anyone realizing it?

I'll go down and work on the wall myself for a year for just one of them billions.

I could go along time on a billion. I can't even comprehend what a billion is.

I was feeling pretty flush for a bit, had near 700 bucks all at once, then 400 dollars worth of power chair batteries and I'm back to my usual side of the tracks. Nice while it lasted, even visited the local gun shop trying to rid myself of it.

Necessity prevailed. I hate necessity, really takes away from the fun stuff ya know?
