  • It Looks Like It's Pence

    http://www.foxnews.com/politics/2016...eculation.html

Truthfully, I was hoping he would pick Newt Gingrich, but I'm sure Pence will probably be ok, even though I don't know much about him yet.

^^^ I guess one polarizing Republican is enough. We'll see.

I'm happy with it. Newt would draw too much fire during the election cycle and detract from the Trump message. And, he'll make a much better Chief of Staff, rubbing everyone's bellies on Capitol Hill. Like shooting fish in a barrel for him.

NBC was the first to announce it. Heard Matt and Savannah ( I like to watch the dark side sometimes ) say it is going to me more than humiliating if he chooses some one else now. He is just liable to do it to rub a little egg in their faces. I wouldn't count on anything until he announces it.

A party unifying move. Pence supported Cruz in the primaries. Should help mend fences a bit and if Trump gets some of Cruz's state level operatives working for him that could shore up a big weakness.

Trump's current manager, Paul Manafort, seems like a seriously competent "insider." He's building, organizing, fund raising etc on a pro level, and evidently Trump listens to him. The Pence pick reflects that.

Pence wasn't my first choice; but, I trust that Trump knows what he is doing. He's gotten this far, after all.

Just finished watching Trump introduce Pence. I believe he made a good choice. This leaves the Democrap announcement of a VP selection. I would highly recommend Jeb Bush for the job if his mother will let him do it.

lmao - they are two birds of a feather all right - except Hillary has got to be many times more corrupt and is a multiple unindicted felon.

Watched the "official" announcement of Mike Pence as the VP pick for Trump. I liked what I saw and heard very much, I think Trump made an excellent choice. Newt will still be a very active member of the Trump team, maybe Chief of Staff? Cruz or Gowdy as Attorney General? Christie as Secretary of State?

Pence choice was a smart move. It should bring in many worried about Trump credential and verbally out of control voters.
