So they catch a peek at me sunbathing nude. Serves them right.

I was kind of hoping to get a position flying one for our dept. I think as a pursuit tool it would be super cool. An eye in the sky for the officers.
Spying on LaP nude sunbathing, maybe not so much.

Be nice to have a real quiet one with a super bright light so when the gangs are doing the graffiti thing in the wee hours ya just throw the switch and light em up. Imagine the shock and awe factor.

I want to grow some "vegetable trees" on this land that is "basically free", and the "factories just make cars" for "everyone to, like, just drive around in".

"The agency projects that 30,000 drones could be in the nation’s skies by 2020."

Isn't our nation in enough serious financial trouble already? I don't see this as a huge priority.

With hundreds of thousands of traffic-light cameras, street cameras, ATM cameras, in-store cameras, cell phone cameras, police dashboard-cameras, and local government surveillance cameras, do you really thinks you have ANY privacy in public places?
I just assume that once I step out of my home, I'm being recorded by some entity. Paranoid?.... no, just realistic.

Depending upon the cost to buy and operate you might be right or you might be very, very wrong. I am aware of virtually every department that does not have a helicopter would be drooling for these. Many smaller depts in my area have been pushing very hard for this and the momentum nationwide is growing.

My primary concern is as a COMM/MULTI/INST pilot and the possibility of inflight interference with air traffic.

Cool. Sounds like fun target practice.

I wonder how they would like it if someone flew some contraption of surveilance over the White House/DC PD heaquarters/(insert area of private property here).

Smaller ones with cameras would be nice for the government to keep an "eye" on you malcontents... quieter and stealthier ones... with tranquilizer needles... or more permanent "solutions".

One EMP explosion and all that highfalutin technology becomes useless.

Yeah, but most of us don't have EMP weapons. The government... and especially the military does concern themselves with EMP and having usable toys left over after any EMP event... after all, the military is going to be causing a lot of EMP... maybe... and operating in an EMP-rich environment, when the "gloves come off."

I think about 6 rounds of 6 shot would handle those pesky little things. Kind of like shooting into a flock of blackbirds.
