Obama is one of those people that if they tell you the grass is green and the sky is blue step outside to verify it for yourself.

          Ah, the Democrats. What hypocrites!
I would like add a provision to all gun control bills that also bans abortion, especially the horrific partial birth abortion where the unborn baby is just just centimeters away from being a full-fledged citizen of the USA....when they kill him or her.
They “say” they respect life. What baloney.

Dogman you are right!!!! About 30 min. ago FOX News reported that Bidden said that Obama is considering using an executive order to implement the gun laws. It sounds like Obama wants to move fast.

            God help us!!

I fear that the turn in time frame will be so short that there won't be time for

Yep, so Congress or SCOTUS will be the only hope to vacate the order, but unlikely to happen.

I see they have quite an impartial group of gun safety advocates tapped to help the monkey make his executive decision.

                        Can you say railroaded?

This whole thing stinks on ice.
                        There is no dire crisis.
There is no crisis at all.
If a state wants gun control?
They have every opportunity to do that on a state level.
There's no need for Federal intervention.
And especially no dire need for immediate unilateral executive action.

                          My buddy sent me this:

                          Storm Photo

The devastation and ignorance being caused by this catastrophic occurrence will forever destroy the fiber and character of a once great nation with little hope for correction or rebuilding at the present rate of duplicity and complacence being displayed by the American public.

I don't know who came up with the idea for this drawing, but it is GREAT!

They left off a bunch of people, though!

Gun control advocates.... ask the next one you see how drug control laws are working in their area. Ask them to name the town or city or state without a drug issue. Explain to them that criminals in prison somehow get firearms. Explain to them that some plumbing supplies, a rubber band, some lumber, some metal straps and some epoxy putty can be turned into a revolving shotgun over night. Tell them to go look on you tube for videos of home made weapons. Everything one needs to make gun powder is in your home or yard. I bet you can find a rock that will spark.

So, sounds like Biden just gave the NRA a talking to and made them sit and listen to what the plan was. I'd have gotten up and told him to go you know what...

But, if the quote below from the article is accurate, I'd say we are in for a nice long protracted legal battle w/ nothing available for sale for quite a while. Get 'em while you can folks. Here's hoping either Congress or SCOTUS deals w/ whatever he tries thru EO. He can't do this legally, but then that's not stopped him yet...

Biden said that while he had not finalized his recommendations, a consensus was emerging over banning assault weapons and high-capacity ammunition magazines, as well as potentially implementing “universal background checks.” He said tightening background checks would include closing the so-called gun show loophole but also requiring background checks for all transactions, even private sales.
                              Full article...

Don't how many of you are read up on the Executive Order (EO) laws, but the EO affects the administrative departments like Reagan firing the ATC's who went on strike and refused to hire them back. He could not have fired anybody at GM. Same for what those departments do, such as the IRS becoming taking on ObamaCare responsibilities.

This could play out in the gun control with EO's immediately requiring ATF and FBI to become impossibly involved in backgrounds (including backlogs) but needing legislation to close the gun show loophole.

At least this is how I remember it. I did see high powered people on Fox say there is no way the pres can directly take on the "infringement" of the 2A, but can attack it a million other ways obliquely through regulations and fees. He may eventually loose what he passes in the SPOTUS but he will get to spend a lot of taxpayer dollars defending it. And even that is in question as he moves the court even further left.

I believe we will see him make more recess appointments than those confirmed, and anything even minor that fits parameters will go by EO. He has declared open war on the congressional process of Checks and Balances and his compass is pointed at the Power setting not Morally Correct.
