  • Build your own AR15, Ar10, 1911

Check out this video. You can legally build your own weapon from a parts kit purchased online. You have to do some machining, but in the end you have an unregistered weapon with no serial number that is completely legal as long as you don't transfer the weapon to anyone. It's yours for life. I guess you'd have to destroy it if you didn't want it anymore.

They say all you need is a drill press to drill some holes and assemble the weapon.

I think that would be a cool project to undertake. Prices aren't that cheap, but whats it worth to have a firearm with no paperwork.
They ask if you are a Felon, or otherwise not permitted to own guns to not order, but since it's not a firearm (yet) there is no background check invovled.

It's legal part of the 80% rule. They can even be sold, but not at a high rate, and I would wait awhile. I looked at the specifics some time ago, but don't recall the minutia. I also recommend some basic machining skills and some decent tools. Take your time, and do your homework.

They say consult with an attorney if you have any questions about it's legality in your area.
They don't offer an AK kit, just AR's and 1911's.

I don't know any more about them than what you can read on the website. Just thought it might be of interest to some.

You can purchase AK flats... Or you could take a shovel and cut it and flatten it and then turn that into an AK flat and then of course bend it into shape and assemble you an AK much as the guy did who manufactured his shovel AK.

After you have built your shovel AK then you can build yourself a "freeze plug" silencer.

I post this just to show how simple many of these things, the gun control advocates think are rocket science, really are to "manufacture".

My LGS buys 80% AR receivers, completes the machining and adds their own logo and serial number to the receiver, assembles and sells them as completed rifles. If you build your own you need to purchase the fixture for drilling, armors tools and all of the parts to complete the rifle. You also need to have less than five thumbs on each hand and more than a skull full of mush. Naturally that leaves many of us out, but it can be done, legally.
