Heard this this morning on the news, audio clip. Couldn't believe my ears. What a complete moron. What an amazing strategy! Buy a double barrel shotgun and when a BG comes to your house, fire both shots in the air, and give the BG plenty of time to enter your house while you're reloading. This is clearly much more effective than an AR 15...
