Love this story! Good to see a fellow Texan defend themselves. It just proves that we need to train everyone in our family!

      Here is another:
      http://www.myfoxdfw.com/story/212372...at_pco=cfd-1.0

As a interesting side note, the local Fox station does a "Viewers Voice" segment each night. When Dallas locals saw what the relaitives of the burgler said about the home owners actions, the phone lines lit up...
...But of the many, many voicemails left on the server, not a single one was in support of the dead burglers relaitives!
I don't belive the homeowner will have any issues with the Dallas County Grand Jury over this.
All as it should be. Peace!
I was once asked if I was "a paranoid for carrying my Kahr".
      "Nope" I said, "just prepared".
" prepared for what" he asked?
      "more stuff than you are"
      God Bless our Troups!

I laughed hard watching that last night.
Attitude: it takes 43 muscles to frown, 17 to smile...and 3 for proper trigger squeeze.

The olive branch is considered a symbol of peace, and good will. Last time I checked, it's still a switch.

Went to a Friends of NRA dinner last night. At our table was a reservist sheriff deputy. During the evening the talk went to the subject of home self-defense; he say in his many years of service, he was not aware of any home invasion case where, when the home owner effectively defended him/herself with a firearm, the DA ever bothered to pick up the case for prosecuting--period. He said, "If they're in your house, they're yours." That was good to hear, especially where I live here in the Peoples Republic of Kalifornia- we got the worst gun laws in the Obamanation. At least that's according to the Brady anti-gun bunch (they rate us the 'best').

Long live the Republic of Texas!
