Come over to Connecticut ... we're gun friendly ... by comparison.

There are some states that are still part of America. My state of Arkansas is also very gun friendly. Even our Democrat politicians are members of the NRA. When they voted against the gun control laws it drove Bloomberg and his Lemmings crazy. Our range is run by the city police department. They come up and shoot with us all the time. Feel sorry for the folks in NY. Keep fighting.

I've always felt that NYC should be it's own planet. Upstate is so rural and beautiful country...with God and gun loving country folk, hunters and outdoorsmen. When I hear the apathy word or someone say that we need to stand up, I go nuts....sorry if I over react. Hunting in my parts is a tradition and a way of life. We literally live with our guns as much as we do our plates and silverware. The guns is what put our protein on the table. We'll find another way, but God help them when they come to take them. :32:
No apathy here in these parts. Not sitting down about it either.

I've always liked the sound of "Old York" for the 51st state of the union.

Gary, why don't you challenge the constitutionality of the new law. You might be able to get a court injunction. BTW, my bootleg offer still stands, but I'm changing my name to Buggsy. I always wanted an alias.

I couldn't imagine going through this. Some states are making it harder and some states are making it easier.

I look at states like a business, if they offer what you wan't you go there. Maybe its time to shop elsewhere. I know its easy for me to say over here in Indiana.

When faced with unpopular statutes you can either take action or sit down and deal with it. One or the other...

Yes, already in action. The NY Rifle and Pistol Club has done this. As we all know, legal action takes time. Could be years. A judge just ruled against a portion of Cuomo's insanity, by telling him that it is unconstitutional to restrict us by only allowing 7 rounds in our 10 rd mags. There is still work to be done. It may be easy to pen out that we should take action or sit back. The reality is that the action has been taken and it is in the hands of the courts now. We are fighting back, but it takes ridiculous time to get resolved. Look at it this way....Obama is President. Do we all like it? Of course not. What action are we taking right now? Answer - We are all waiting for him to be done and hopeful that the libs won't get their way again. Likewise, NY gun owners are waiting for a ruling. It is a tough, tough battle in a primarily liberal State controlled by NYC. People who don't know or understand guns, gun safety, 2A, hunting, etc.... The pro gun folks live in more rural NY...spread out...fewer of us....etc... Nuff said.

In 2012, 61 million voted Republican, 66 million for King Choom. There are supposedly 80-100 million gun owners in America. Let's cock and lock the vote!

AGREED. But NY will do what Chicago had been doing for decades. Lose a court fight rewrite a similar law and start the 5-7 year fight all over again. As it was explained to me the last judge advised Chicago if they did that again the Federal Courts would hold the city responsible for at least 100% of the plaintiffs cost if not more.

I hope and pray for the Good People of New York State. I have relatives in Upper New York.

On the NY Firearm Forum, I spoke out against the NY Governor and got banned for 30 days. In addition to a Socialist and Nazi, I called the Governor ***** and the Mods did not like that. They love their Governor. Where I come from our Dictionary defines the word as differing in some odd way from what is usual or normal and/or obsessed in something to an extreme or unreasonable degree. I think that defines Governor Cuomo to a Tee. I learned not to badmouth Cuomo, people on that Forum love that man.

A lot of people just don't understand socialism until it imprisons them and then it's to late. You can quote me on that. The only thing that this country needs to be saved is a good purge.
