This came up on yesterday's Fox News Channel/Megan Kelly show. She thought this was over the top too. The child the couple wanted to adopt is 12 years old, almost a teen ager. Didn't know that.

Which further reinforces the stupidity of this. Tweens and teens don't get adopted. Babies do. Any capable parent willing to take on a moody tween or teen gets penultimate respect in my book.

All they had to do was have a talk with the parents about gun security appropriate to this age group and that kid might have had a couple of loving parents to sigh and huff and refuse to do the dishes for.
