My wife had a really prophetic statement last nite regarding gun control. She said, "Why don't they come up with a whole bunch of new gun control laws and try them out in Chicago first. Then is they can get them to work there, maybe we could consider them for elsewhere". That was when I realized how truly wise she is. And she carries a .38spl.

No it isn't - that tactic is for the future nutjob killers - diminish the publicity those a-holes crave. From what I've read, this Oregon a-hole wrote how he saw all the "fame" mass murderers get from the MSM and social media. IMO, just dutifully report their names to begin with, then don't mention them by name again. Even the social media providers can delete the nutjob worshippers if they choose to do so.

Can't say for sure. I have noticed for some time how people will go to any length to get on TV. During a live newscast folks will poke their head into the picture to wave to mom or whatever. Can't really understand this. I have always kept low profile. The less people know about me or see me the better. Different strokes I guess. I was interviewed by the media twice years ago. They twisted what I said so badly I didn't even recognize it. No thanks. Some people make some kind of heroes out of these slime balls. Guess I am getting old.

Years ago I attended the NRA National Match Competition at Camp Perry. Sixty minute's Morley Safer and his crew were in attendance interviewing NRA members. Sixty minutes edited out everything good that was by the members said and hammered those who said something off the wall. I warn them not to participate in the interviews, but my warnings fell on deaf ears.
