    Here's my IMI MK VII...

It came in to my LGS on trade and the price was too good to pass up. The MK VII is chambered in .357mag, so I don't have to spend $1.50+ every time I pull the trigger as with the .50AE.

Started off having intermitent feeding issues with the MK VII. Finally got my hands on some of the factory recommended 158gr loads. Was better, but still not cured. Couldn't get more than three rounds through it at a time without a double feed. It wasn't pulling the spent casings out of the chamber and the next round was stove piping. Lost two rounds all together due to the bolt slamming shut and crimping the casing. The pistol was made in the 80's and I'd put money on it still having original factory springs. It hadn't been shot much, but still springs have a tendancy to wear over time. So, I changed out the dual recoil springs, the extractor spring and pin, the ejector spring and pin, and the firing pin spring.

After the tune-up she's runnin like a champ! Although when they recommend 158gr ammo, they mean it. It still doesn't like any of the lighter loads. I got away with it when the recoil springs were weak, but once I changed them out it was game over. The 110-125gr stuff just doesn't have near enough poop to move that big ole slide.

nice. .357 mag is good too. Was it in good condition, finish and all?
The only thing better than having all the guns and ammo you'd ever need would be being able to shoot it all off the back porch.

      Yes Sir,

It's in great shape. The finish has little to no signs of wear. Figure this thing was a safe queen for the previous owner, but those days are over now. I've been put'n her to work!

The full sized may be more of a cult/collector weapon, but I've heard the Baby Eagle is a pretty darn good knock-off of the highly touted CZ75.
            I'll admit---I'm trigger happy

I would like to request pictures of any desert eagles that run different finished barrels/slides/frames. I'm curious what it would look like to throw on a polished chrome barrel on my black frame and slide. I wanted a polished chrome but couldn't find one at a good enough price, so was going to chrome this one myself, but if I can just buy a polished chrome barrel for the same cost as a chrome job and it looks decent on the black frame, it might just satisfy my need for bling.

Someone once said that the Desert Eagle looks like something Darth Vader played with as a kid.... I tend to agree.

Well, Darth Vader as a kid wasn't all "darth"

If anything, the gold Desert Eagle would fit right in on C3PO's hip

Well.... when it was said, that part of the story hadn't come out yet! And I think... the statement is more of a pointed caricaturization than true to the canon of the story.

That would turn on Dirty Harry right there.
