  • Gun Show at the Morocco Temp on St Johns Bluff Road this weekend

Update: My wife and I will have a table at the Gun Show at the Shriners' Morocco Temple Jacksonville, Florida, this weekend. Hours: 0900-5PM Sat and 0900-4PM Sunday.

I still have this Mech Tech/Glock .45 Carbine, Crimson Trace Laser Grips for K9/K40, and 7-rd and 8-rd extended grip 9mm Kahr magazines($22 to $23 each), 6-round Kahr CW/P45 mags, as well as most Glock(9mm, .357SIG, .40, 10mm, and .45ACP) , 1911, and Ruger .22LR(most of the MKs and 10/22) magazines... over 250 mags total, plus the new Kriss G30 Magazine Kits to upgrade the Glock G21 magazines to 30 rounds.

I've reduced all prices to below my cost for most. This will be our last show that we'll attend as vendors.

Glock Mags from $18 and Ruger .22LR for MKIII and MKII 22/45 just $20 each. Kahr 7-round 9mm mags for $22 and 8-round extended grip for $23 each, only 3 left of the latter.

This will probably be the last show that I try to sell the G21-based carbine... still new and unfired. The range I belong to has finished their new 25-yard range and I'll be able to shoot it there. The reliable Kriss High Capacity Mags will certainly help me hang on to the carbine... a great home defense weapon.

Not something I'd ever do, post pics and an address of guns in an ad
I lived in Jax from '94 to '04 and there's all kinds of dirt bags there.

    sorry, jmo

I agree. Hope all goes well. I would not even list it here with address.....non members troll here that aren't exactly Mr. Nice Guy. I would advise that you delete address info and only take e mail responses to your ad. You are asking to be robbed. I only say this for your own good as a former leo.

Wynn, do you have any .380 ammo?

Ray, I'm not trying to sell much .380 and shipping is relatively expensive... a minimum of about $20 including pickup. Driving across town and back costs more than pickup!

I've sold many guns at garage sales... not lately, but both of us will be armed, with surveillance cameras/DVR recording, as well as our home security panic button/remotes.

I am doing something different, though, with the street signs having Ammo, Guns & Magazines on the "pink" signs that I will put up before the sale.

I do have cables for the long guns and a display case for the pistols.

Not worried about during the sale....more worried about some that may want to case the joint and have an early private sale. Or a after sale event during the night.

I have prominent surveillance cameras, signs, motion-detector/lights, alarm system, a cop friend/neighbor across the street, and I always carry in and around the house, as well as when I leave. I watch my monitors and listen for the motion detector, too.

I spent some time adjusting the inside garage camera to cover customers at the gun and ammo tables. I made sure that it would get faces and I can see everything on the tables.

I just don't think we look like easy pickin's. And we live in a NICE neighborhood, but not too far from some housing projects. All that said, I'm not complacent and I do have some sense of situational awareness.

Good luck with the sale Wynn. I'm sure you got the safety aspect covered. That electric boat mover arounder looks handy.

Thanks. When I had my 21+ ft boat and double-axle trailer it really did the job. I didn't have as much space to back my rig in along the garage.

We opened before 7:00 this morning and it was over 3 hours before I sold my first box of ammo... 124-gr 9mm Blazer Brass FMJ for $22! I tried to sell 2 for $40.

It's a beautiful day here, but business has been REALLY slow. The weather will change tomorrow, but hopefully, not until the afternoon.

So far we've only had the usual garage salers... mostly repeat customers.

We used to use a similar rig to push dead cars around the service lot. Saved a lot of back injuries I'm sure. As for the ammo and firearms: if you don't sell 'em, just have fun shootin' 'em.

Well, the Flag's out and we're open, but no one waiting this morning... kinda dreary out... no sun, yet, but supposed to hit 82° again today. Yesterday was a perfect summer day for us... even though Winter is less than 2 weeks away!

We still have the bugs, too... usually the year around.

I asked Wifey if she noticed the P380 and she said no. It's in my old well-worn Uncle Mike's holster that will stay behind when you draw the pistol without a belt in shorts or whatever.

One guy said he wanted the shotgun, to put it away for him, and he would go get the money... didn't come back... maybe his "boss" intervened.

                      First customer... gotta go!

Saturday was much better. We had nice weather both days. Usually, if the first day is bad, the next is worse... broke that "tradition", thank goodness! Sold the CD shotgun and a bunch of .22 ammo.

We're gonna do the gun show at the Morocco Temple this Saturday and Sunday. I got a display case for the pistols, but it's kind of huge, so not sure how that's going to work. It will get the guns out nearer the customers and provide a little protection from "casual handlers" or non-buyer fondlers!

Wifey and I will be at the Morocco Temple (Shriners) here in Jacksonville for the gun show. 9AM-5PM Saturday and 9AM-4PM Sunday.

I still have the K9/CTL LaserGrips & Trijicon NS, XD45 Tactical with Trijicon HD NS(Yellow FS), Springfield 1911 Champion 4" with Novak (adj. rear) Night Sights, and the Mech Tech Glock21SF based .45 Carbine(unfired). I'll update prices and a picture of the carbine soon as I can... got to load up the bins and get them into the van.

The Gun Show went pretty well Saturday and we sold enough ammo and mags to pay for the $85 table fee. Then Sunday we sold less, but did sell the XD45 Tactical at essentially asking price with the inclusion of a new third magazine.

The funds freed up are much needed to cover the cost of my van's new tranny and transfer case around Christmas!

I still have the K9 and the Springfield 1911 Champion.
