If you want some great 9mm or .40 SD ammo, look at the Federal HST. I carry the 147gr. in my CM9 and it loves it. I use the 155gr in my Glock, but the Glock is like Mikey, it'll eat anything! Google this ammo and watch the tets by tnoutdoors, very informative.

    Welcome to KahrTalk!

I've never tried 147 grain ammo which seems to be gaining in popularity. Do see any advantages of the 147 over 124 +P? Pros? Cons?

Newer 147 bullets are made to expand in a larger window of velocities. Couple that with low recoil and that makes them perfect for compact weapons.

I have my CW9 loaded with the 147 PDX1. Many of my customers use the HST or the Ranger T in 147gr.

Tnoutdoors9 was my inspiration and he was very helpful when I was starting up my testing. Unfortunately, he doesn't do mouse gun length barrels. Maybe that's a good thing since that's become my corner to work.

+1 on 9mm HST +P 147gn. It may be mostly in my head but I believe the heavier bullet does better penetrating barriers than the lighter. The +P only adds 100fps or so but the gun is built to handle it without damage or wear so why not.
