  • Federal 115G fmj 9mm

I bought some of this at wally world today for $19.97 per 100. I can't ever remember getting it any cheaper. WWB was $23.97 per 100. I was a little leery of the Federal but at my last range the CM9 shot em all.

I usually use the WWB too but after the Colorado shooting seemed to be hard to get for awhile. The people at Walmart said as soon as they came in..someone would buy them all and they couldn't keep them on the shelves. So I reluctantly tried the Federal and put 200 round through my pm9 without any issues as well. Now I'm stocked up on both.

I had a couple failures with the federal at the very end of the break in period for my CM9. Now, they feed fine. I had serious problems with S & B. I mean I had a FTF almost every time. I won't use those again in my CM9. Not to worry because my Glocks eat their young. So if I get em cheap I feed the Austrians.

Just shows how different two of the same model gun can be. My CM9 eats anything I feed it, including the S&B 115 gr FMJ, which seems to be a hot load because it recoils more than Speer Gold Dot 124 gr +p Hollow Points.
        Very interesting...

My PM9 likes anything, too. Federal works just as good as WWB for me. Tried to pick up some of that Federal in the 100 ct., but it was GONE! Must keep checking other area Wallies....

              I never had anything that my K-9 wouldn't eat!:hungry:
But I will never attempt to use Russian anything and steel case rounds...

In my experience, Federal Champion brand is more consistent and better ammo than WWB.

I usually go between the Federal 100 packs and the WWB, the Federals are cleaner and seem to be more consistent. I repacked 200 WWB into 50rd plastic boxes and my hands were filthy when I was done.

My favorite are the RP (UMC) 250rd packs, though.

I just recently grabbed 200rds of the fed champions too, along with the fed hi-shok fit cheap jhp at the range and a box of winchester pdx1 jhp's at wally world. I must've hit it on the right day because there were at least 10 more boxes of the 100rds. Any other time I'm there I end up getting fishing lures or hunting rounds instead because their about out of everything.

These are what I shoot most. Wally world is on the way to the range, and they don't have any other loads that come close to these in price. I've probably put over 1,000 through my CW9, and my new Glock 19 Gen 4 chews them up just fine. I do notice that since this is a lighter load my Glock likes to eject them into my forehead ever once in a while. The first 100 rounds through my Glock where Winchester 9mm NATO. More noticeable recoil, and didn't have any casings come flying straight back.

                        Are they the American Eagles?

The AE are my favorite. Reasonably priced, clean, and never had a problem.

No. They're a totally different round. American Eagle felt like a much hotter round when I shot some.

the federal champion is all i run through my guns & have never had any problems with any of them.
wal-mart does have the best price on them that i've ever seen, the problem i've been having lately is finding the 100rd packs.
