Been looking at a 1911 & am very impressed with the results out of a 3.3" barrel. Just think what the results would be from a 4.25" or 5" barrel. WOW! Thx again for taking the time to test these rounds and sharing the info, much appreciated.

I like this ammo too. Use it for carry in my PM40. Snarly!

I've pretty much converted all my auto carry ammo to Ranger T Series.
My new HK45C is loaded with this 230 gr +P .45 ammo.
        HK P30 40 S&W has 165 gr and HK P2000 357 Sig 125 gr.

Reliable feeding, hard hitting and near match accurate.

        This ammo is Barth Approved.

.9975" expansion... I think that might leave a mark!!!

This is my .45 self defense load. I have it in both +P and standard. With 13rds of this in my Para P-12 (3.5" barrel) I should be good for most any situation ... Thanks for doing the test, good to know it performs this well out of short barrels

          I also have Ranger T in 9mm, & 40 S&W as well .... Nasty stuff.

I switched out my never leaves the house pistol to a G21 SF during the ammo drought so I've been working my way through the case of Hornady TAP I managed to scrounge at the time. After that's gone, I may switch to the 230 Grain Ranger T standard pressure.

For you folks that missed my test of the 9mm +P Ranger T 124 grain, the short barrel expansion wasn't nearly as good as the 45. Still wicked, but a bit wonky.

I run Winchester Ranger T-Series 127 gr +P+ in my
Glock G27 with a Storm Lake 40-9mm conversion barrel.
Folks have chronographed that load out of a 3.46" barrel Glock G26 at ~1240 fps.

If you want a wicked 9mm?
That's the Barth approved SD load.
