Nice testing results. 23" of penetration could be a problem, think I'll stick with the 14.25" penetration of the 125 gr .357 Gold Dot. Appreciate the work as always! Enjoy reading your results.

Thanks Yogi. I think the 158 may be better suited to those times your tracking down pulled pork BBQ and it's still on the hoof, but this is only one test.

        That is useful thanks.

Great work, Bruce! Did you paint a "do NOT shoot" sign on the front of your chronometer?

Or maybe something inspirational... "Aim Higher"!

Based on the inspirational messages received from others, I'm not alone. Most folks shoot them much earlier in their careers. Not sure why it took me over 20 years to bag my first Chrony. Slow starter I guess.

I figured that one more poke wouldn't hurt! It's a chronograph, though. I think chronometer refers to some cheap watch that's within a minute a day... or something like that!

I just got my 10 GL15 mags from Ivanhoe. The postman tried to walk away with them, but I knew they were coming in today. I hope to get to the range Monday. I can start loading mags Sunday and forget about having to do that at the range... almost! I'll use a little of their ammo, too! My half-case of .40 Bonded Remington Golden Sabers is coming in then... probably too late, though. I want to do some flash video/photos... Compensated G23.

In my case... 9mm S&W 15-round Glock magazines for a 9mm Glock 19. I may have referred to the ones I just received incorrectly. I just got 10 13-round mags for my .40 G23C. I was looking for GL15 mags for the G19 I want to get for my wife... the 15-round 9mm mags.

If you are looking for G19 mags then google Officer Store. Two weeks ago I ordered 3 G32, 2 G19, and 1 G23 mags from them. They arrived last week. $27 per mag including the shipping. Have a Lone Wolf/Timber Wolf custom 3 barrel on order for my 50th birthday gun and had no mags except G23s for it. Now I'm set.

Speaking of G23s, have you ever seen my Gen2 G23C? I call her Old Reliable. The only pistol that I've ever used enough that I felt it needed to be sent for refinishing. The Diamondback needed to be refinished because the factory finish sucked.

I'm good on mags now. I just need to find THE deal on a G19. I WAS thinking Gen 4 because of the smaller grip... for my wife, but have read about bad slide blocks and the slide falling off onto the concrete with the Gen 4!

She thinks my Gen 3 G23 is a lot easier to rack the slide, but the grips are too big! I told her that you use both hands!

I notice that you have the "stock" slide release and mag release. I got the extended ones as I was buying the pistol. I tried the stock ones in the store and knew that they wouldn't do!

I have half a case of Bonded 180-gr Golden Sabers coming in tomorrow from Ammo to Go... ordered 14 Jan. I would like to test all of the SD ammo if they come in early enough. Shoot, I hardly ever get going before 3PM, anyhow! I like my 3 cups of coffee and have a lazy routine, especially when I night owl almost every night!

Ammo: Win 165 on the left, 180 GDSB, center and 165 GD on the right.
