underwood 155gr 40sw ammo

I found my hp ammo stock was low for my 40sw . Ordered some from underwood, there 155gr xtp to try out. Just finished a 10 shot string thru a chronograph and was very suprised by it. They advertise 1300fps. Well my 10shot average was 1310fps from a new tp40. My old standard was from georgia arms, 40sw 165gr at 1100fps. Kahr has done a great job makeing a 4" barrel that can make the advertised velocity happen. So many ammo labels and handguns fall short.

I have some underwood ammo as well in 9mm. The velocities are as advertised. They have a great product. I can get about 1250 out of my 3" barrel mk9. Very impressive.

Agree that they make some really nice stuff, and the price is pretty reasonable for SD ammo. I have their stuff in my K9 and PM45. I also LOVE their .357 in my SP101. I want to try their +P .380 round to compare it to the Buffalo Bore, but they are out of stock at the moment.

I got 5 boxes of the +P GDs and that stuff is stout! I wanted some more +P GD's and the last bunch of BB I bought at the Outpost Armory was the old JHP... bonded, I think, but not GD's! I really like the BB GD's but I'm out of those and the Underwood is plenty stout.
