With the shortage the way it is, stores are limited to empty on handgun ammo, does anyone think that "they" would like us to buy ammo online just to keep track where the ammo goes? With a store purchase, the paper trail ends at the till with a cash payment, as it should be, but online purchases can be tracked and pinpointed if "they" wanted to see where the ammo ends up. I was just wondering about some of the online ammo companies, who really owns them, and how safe is our purchase history.

my 21 cents on that is NO---not yet . No doubt every online company has somekind of records showing what u bought, andshipping etc, that is just normal business practices.
Course, if in doubt, don't buy online.. My PM9 has over 34,000+ rounds through it, and runs much better than an illegal trying to get across our border

Not so much tracking.
Trying to control inanimate objects, rather than criminals, continues guaranteed failure.
That fact many liberals simply can't seem to comprehend.
Bad people will always find ways to do bad things.
There will always be an uncontrolled black market for banned items.
Just like drugs, making something illegal does not make it go away.

I think that he's more concerned about the government making a list of who buys what. Anything done over the internet is there forever. I'm not concerned. I'll show the government everything I have when they come to take it even though my mother taught me that it's not polite to point.Never trust anyone who doesn't trust you to own a gun.

"The government is us." BHO. So is the ammo ours too?"I do not love the bright sword for its sharpness, nor the arrow for its swiftness, nor the warrior for his glory. I love only that which they defend."

Maybe we can apply for ammo stamps. Many of us are strapped from buying ridiculously over priced AKs and AR-15s and high capacity semi-auto handguns. Hey, what the hell, it's a thought.Never trust anyone who doesn't trust you to own a gun.
