  • .22 Ammo from Wife

My wife is amazing. She goes to get her nails done and grocery shop while I am out turkey hunting. She comes back with 3 (525) boxes of Fed .22 ammo from Gander Mt. She went in 3 times to get them. Now isn't that a good wife? I've been looking for .22 ammo for months. My advice to you guys.....send you wife. LOL

I can't help but be rude and ask the price. When bricks are found here in N.C. (never seen in a store in over a year) they go for $60.00.

GaryB, your wife is definitely a keeper. That impressed the heck out of me, I don't think I've ever heard of anything like that before, without them being asked to pick some up. I think I'd take her out for a nice dinner at one of her favorite places, and show her how much I appreciated her. :hungry:

During the great primer shortage, during the Clinton years, my wife located a source for primers and bought me 8000 primers in the various sizes I used, for my birthday...

                It was a good day!
A couple Colts, a couple Brownings, a Makarov, a Sig, a couple Rugers, a couple Kahrs, a couple Smith & Wessons, a Walther, and a couple Berettas .....Oh, and some long guns...

She heard me state my dissatisfaction with the ammo situation, particularly .22. Someone told her to go first thing in the morning and they would have some. Same thing with Walmart, Dicks, etc... Was the best kept secret.....OOPS..
                  Definitely, she is a keeper.

I'm pretty sure I'd fall over with both a heart attack and stroke if my wife ever bought me ammo. She's never happy when I buy it for myself. I'd say you have a keeper there!

She told me they were $20 some dollars. I think it was $24 something. I thought it was a very good price and she hit the gold mine. I took the morning off from turkey hunting and am driving back to try to get another box. I wish my lucky charm was with me, but she went to work....dialysis nurse.
