What's the difference between Speer Gold Dot and Speer Gold Dot LE?

In 9mm 124 gr JHP I see both for sale at luckygunrunner.com but the cost per round is very different: LE is 57¢ per round and the non-LE is $1.19. I have been buying the LE and it cycles fine through my CM9 and Glock 19.

Don't think there's any difference in the ammo, just the size of box .

I bought 250 rounds from luckygunner in the .45 acp and was wondering why the LE is so much cheaper than the regular GD's. Mine all fired nice and not a single hiccup.

That is indeed correct. The LE designation is on the fifty round boxes.

Funny that you pay twice as much per round if you want a small box.

I always thought that LE stood for Law Enforcement and that these loads weren't available to the general public. The price break was supposed to be for LEOs only?

Maybe that was once the case but it isn't now. I've been buying them regularly from www.luckygunrunner.com and just bought 2 boxes from www.ammunitiondepot.com (ammunition depot also carries them in +P).

In the 357 Sig, the LE Speer 125g load is about 100 fps faster, agree with all above on the rest.
