  • Freedom Munitions Experience?

Thinking about ordering 500 rounds of 9mm and .45 ACP from them. Heard lots of good thing, heard a couple bad ones. What's your vote?

  • #2
I have bought from them many times. I usually wait on the 5.00 shipping, which is usually around patriotic holidays.
So far I have one .45 cartridge out of about 2000, that did not function correctly. Never had any issues with .38 special or 9mm. I would not hesitate to order again.
( plus all the .45 casings have been large primer).
If you get on the mailing list, they have daily specials, usually 5% off the round of the day.

I've shot about 10 boxes of the "New" 9mm with not failures. Haven't tried their "Reman's, but wouldn't hesitate. Same process as new ones but with used brass. I've done a fair amount of reloading and brass can be used many times. I use their XTM HP for CC.

I have shot a couple thousand of .40 remans from Freedom. I have not experienced any problems.

I have bought both 9mm & 380 from them with no problems. Rest assured the product is top notch.

When I buy ammo, as often as not I buy from them. It beats having to drive 15 miles one-way just to find out Cabelas doesn't have what I need. Like kenemoore, I usually wait until they're offering the $5.00 or Free shipping.

Well I took the plunge and about 1,200 rounds showed up on the doorstep today. I'll give a range report this weekend.

I've been thinking of doing the same, although not as many rounds. What caliber did you purchase? I look forward to your range report and how everything goes.

                  500 .45 230g (reman)
                  500 9mm 124g (reman)
                  100 .38 special, 158g (reman)
                  100 .380, 100g (new)

Should've said "exactly 1,200 rounds" it looks like

Well, you can now put me in the "like them a lot" category. Shot about 300 rounds without any issues whatsoever. Expect the other 900 will be just as good!

Glad to hear they preform well for you. I'll be sure to place an order for some 380 soon. What exact 380 ammo did you buy from them?

Does anyone have experience (good or bad) with their .380 100gr RNFP or 90gr XTP in P380 or CW380?

I have been shooting their 9mm and .45acp ammo for some time with no issue whatsoever. But I have not tried their .380 rounds in my P380 yet...

I have fired over 1000 rnds of their ammo and to date it is the cleanest burning, most accurate ammo I've tried. For 9mm I like their new 124 gr. fmj and I just ordered 500 rnd of their 165 gr. FMJ for my new CW40. They offer free shipping on first time buyers and right now they are offering a flat rate of $7.50 for all orders for a limited time. Stock up!

Thanks for the info. I got to try 100 rounds of their reman in my P380, and all worked well with no issue.
