IF you can find the ammo you want on sale or a decent price, Cabela's has deals on shipping all of the time. Now they're only charging $5 for shipping over $99.

I buy lots of ammo from them when there's free shipping or they have the $20 coupon for purchases over $150. Half cases usually run $16.95 for shipping and there's no tax. I get the best prices, the best deal, and no tax. This does NOT work if you're buying just a box or two at a time.

The places that have the deals and best prices, you should get on their mailing list and get regular notices about their specials and discounts.

What about the new loads from http://www.usaammo.com/? from my looking it seems their price for a thousand round in 9mm is better than what I can get at WM?

Are they good ammo for the range, and do the Kahrs like them?

I've shot USA (the new stuff, not once fired) out of my PM9 and my M&P 40C. Function and reliability were flawless.

I just got 500 rounds of their once-fired 45 ammo yesterday. I haven't tried it yet, but it's indistinguishable from new Federal, WWB, or Remington. I have no doubts that it will work fine.

Thanks for the responses, I think I will try them. One question how do they ship, I live in an apartment, should I see if the in-laws will allow delivery to their house?

That might be best. I have UPS or FedEx leave stuff at my door, but it's about 150' from the street... a house, not an apartment. I find ammo sitting at the door even when I'm home sometimes... which is most of the time. I'm on record with them for doing so, though.

They ship UPS, who will leave it at the door. It's not a problem for me. I was, however, a bit put off by their shipping charges. It almost negates the savings, but if the ammo's good, I can live with it.

you cant beat that Cabelas 5.29 per box .223 price with 50 cent shipping. Lots of shooting fun in that special.
The only thing better than having all the guns and ammo you'd ever need would be being able to shoot it all off the back porch.
