  • Best prices / source for 9mm Ball?

Now that my wife is wantning to shoot a LOT, I need to add to the stock pile of 9mm FMJ practice stuff.

I really like shooting Blazer Brass and Fiocchi 130 gr FMJ, those two work flawlessly....

Actually, the only problem I have had in my CM9 has been with Winchester NATO stuff which maybe was too hot or long or something.

So, what's the best price on decent play ammo? And... where can I find it?

    Thanks guys!

Check out Cabela's with $20 off an order of $150 or more... more than pays for shipping:

Check out this site, which compiles ammo prices for your information and as a search aide.

Cheaper than dirt has some good ones at times. You can't beat the cabelas free shipping at times if you can get the ammo on sale too.
The only thing better than having all the guns and ammo you'd ever need would be being able to shoot it all off the back porch.

I have used Bulkammo.com. Seems to have good prices and delivery.

I’ve heard Wally World now carries the Federal in 100 round bulk packs for $19.97.
I’m going to check it out cause I’m out of primers and bullets.
If a sign could stop evil….They’d make holsters for them!!

I was at a new Wally World yesterday. The prices have really jumped since my last visit to another Wally World! IIRC a 100 pack of white box was $29+!!!! I turned around and walked out. No can do that at WW! Today I'll go to Bass Pro and look.

I use Ammoengine.com on line to check prices. I just tried getting on to Gun-deals.com but couldn't for some reason. I like that site because it calculates shipping. I hope its unavailability is only temporary!!!

If you shop around a bit you should be able to get 1000 rds landed
                  for around $200-210 fairly regularly.

As some have already mentioned in this thread, www.sgammo.com
is a great place. They have PMC FMJ for $9.95 a box right now
                  which is a good price.

You should also keep an eye on www.sportsmansguide.com.
You have to join their buyers club which is $29/year but if you
find the right deal like when I joined, I was able to get free shipping on
500rds of ammo, plus I had a $10 coupon that in the end between the
two paid for the membership. Plus you get 2 more $10 coupons in the
mail when you join. It's complicated but you can get a real good deal.

Also, another place is get on the www.ammoman.com mailing list.
He frequently has some great deals. I got a 1000 rds of Sellier & Bellot
for $209 delivered recently. Great range ammo for a great price.
His deals sell out pretty quick so it pays to be on his mailing list
that when a good deal on 9mm pops up you can jump on it.

And last but not least, Cheaperthandirt.com often has Blazer
at below $10, you just have to check regularly.

Stay away from Wolf, Tula, or any of the steel cased ammo.
The prices are tempting but they are not worth the hassle.

                  Hope this helps.

                  M-

Another place to look is GunBroker.
I have made a few killer deals on some bids.
One place I bought a bunch of ammo from never used a reserve price and started bidding at the very low end of pricing such as a dollar.
Well one guy actually bought 1,000 rounds of Independence .380 for $65.00 because the bid ended at some weird a.m. hour on a work night that only insomniacs or owls would be looking at anyway.
Another big seller constantly runs great deals with free shipping.

Best source I have found is the local Wal Mart. I still find range fodder for less than $12 per box of 50.

Start reloading your own, cheapest out there. LOL

I get the brass free so I dont count the cost of that but
1,000 frontier plated bullets for $72.00
1,000 small pistol primers for $29
1 lb of titegroup which is $14.

Thats a grand total of $115 for 1,000 rds.

We have found that Cheaper than Dirt has some pretty good prices on ammo, course, for us, we can just walk into the one of two stores they have here in DFW.

You might also check out Sportsman Guide. I can't remember if it was Cheaper than Dirt or Sportsman Guide that had bulk rates.
