I had trouble with the Magtech First Defence +P 165gr SCHP ammo in my P45 as well. It didn't seat in the chamber properly. I had the same thing happen in my HKs too, so it wasn't just the Kahr.Judging by today's left wing, looks like Senator Joe McCarthy was right after all. -

I know this is an old thread but I wanted to bring it back up to try to save some of you a hassle. Magtech Guardian Gold is garbage. Same as I.Y.G., 230 +p completely locked up 2 of my .45's today. I chambered a round at home in my P45 and couldn't rack the slide to clear it. I ended up taking it to the range and shooting that round just to get it out. Tried again thinking that was just one bad round, again completely locked up the gun. Tried it in my Para Tach-S, same thing. It's junk but at least it was expensive junk
On a good note, my prefered carry load, Winchester Silvertip 185, worked flawlessly in my new/used P45. And in My Para Tach-S. And my S&W 457. And my Springfield Loaded....Comment
