I have a CW9 that I usually carry in an MTAC Spartan, but I'm thinking that I should grab something on the smaller side for the summer. I'm thinking as thin as possible and easy on/off. I'm considering a PJ Holster or and Alabama Clipper. Any other suggestions?

That Spartan looks similar to my white hat, which is a bit too much holster for my tiny gun. For that one, I got the silent thunder IWB from garrett industries. Also just got one from pjholsters for my CW45. The pj is thinner, the silent thunder is leather lined. Both are great. I opted for thinner pj with the 45 and leather lined with the 9mm. My cm9 is so thin, the extra couple of mm with the silent thunder isn't a big deal. The gun still disappears under a shirt.I've lost my memory, and I can't remember where I put it.

I have owned both. For me the Silent Thunder while being a fine holster, indestructible, and well made, is too think and heavy. After buying my PJ, the thinnest, most comfortable, and most functional holster I have ever used, I saw no reason to keep the ST and sold it. After 8 months, I'm NOT regretting the decision.Notables:

As a little update, I went with the PJ Holster which I have yet to get in the mail. I will say that Paul (owner of PJ Holster) has been the MOST accommodating businessman I've ever come across. After a bit of surfing online and looking at PJ Holsters I decided I wanted something with a little less cant and more depth of ride. I emailed Paul and told him what I'd like. He told me that all I had to do was email him some pictures of how I'd like my gun to ride and he'd replicate it. On top of that, I was inspired by Alabama Holster's pocket magazine carrier and emailed Paul a link asking if he could make me one. He said he'd have no problem doing that for me and that he would only charge $15 for it. As if that wasn't enough, I told Paul that I planned on ordering both the holster and the magazine carrier later in June after all the expenses of getting married, and moving into a new place were in the rear view. He said he'd send me out both as a wedding gift and that I could pay him whenever I was able. Guys like that who are trusting and aren't just out for money, but more out to make people happy with their products make me want to give them even more of my business. I can't wait to get my PJ clip on loop IWB and mag carrier. Both custom fitted to my gun and my ride preference. I'll update you all when I get them and I'm sure I'll love them both.

Im a new member so forgive me if Im not on the right track. I bought about 200.00 on holsters for my lcp and 50.00 on my Kahr cm9 most were pocket holsters. Then I kept going back to the Crossbreed IWB mini tuck and darn it look like it would hurt. So after some time letting the pocket holsters go up side down, sideways I got one for the lcp. And it is by far the most feel good and secure holster I have every owned. So two days ago I have one comming for my new Kahr cm9. Like I said im kinda new at this. So help me if you feel im wrong.
Thanks Mikey

Welcome to the forum dustypaddle. I certainly see where you're coming from with the MiniTuck. I had one myself but returned for the MTAC Spartan because I didn't like the retention on the MiniTuck. I was specifically asking about lighter holsters for carry in warmer weather as I'm sure you'll find out the hybrid style holsters can get pretty hot in the spring and summer months. Don't get me wrong hybrids are great though.

I was once asked if I was "a paranoid for carrying my Kahr".
"Nope" I said, "just prepared".
" prepared for what" he asked?
"more stuff than you are"
