  • Kahr models K9/P45 interchangability in molded holsters?

On highly molded holsters, are the K9, P9, CW9, and P45 holsters/pistols interchangable? (and no doubt some .40 Kahrs as well)

    I have a:
    K9, 6.0* 4.5*.9 width.

    P45 6.07*4.8*1.01

    CW9 5.9*4.5*.9

    P9 5.8*4.5*.9

**** Specifically, do you think the K9 will fit and retain well in a holster molded and designed for a P45?? Would the molded width 1.01 not retain a K9 at .9 width - or be ok?

    * As a secondary question, how would a PM9/CM9 fit in a P45 or K9 holster? Is it just that the holster depth would be deeper than needed to fit the pistol, but it would still retain well?

    PM9 5.42*4.04*.9
    CM9 5.42*4*.9

No. the 9mm guns are too narrow to correctly fit in a .45 holster.
Judging by today's left wing, looks like Senator Joe McCarthy was right after all.

I have a Fobus that was supposed to fit my K9, but I had to stretch out the trigger guard area to make it fit right. It does not fit my CW45, FWIW.

I carry my PM9, P9, K9, P40, and PM45 in the same Cross Breed Mini Tuck. The Kydex part retains all of them and belt tension is key to snugging the leather. If you want snug retention, though, I wouldn't use the wider pistols in the same holster as the 9mm, especially all-leather ones! Mine works for me IWB with my Looper gunbelt. I don't CC the K9, but it drops right in the same holster.

Even my fairly generic Galco IWB unlined holster for my CW9 will not handle my P45... ever so slightly bigger in all dimensions.
