Some of you know about this great holster (the Foxx Trapp)

    For those who don't know

but recently it was brought up that maybe it could be made thinner by using smaller spacers

I also think you can reduce the thickness by changing the spacer to a thinner profile. I never carry tucked so I don't really need the quarter inch to accommodate a shirt thickness.
so after removing the spacers, and just ending up with the clip rattling around I reinstalled the spacers and contacted Ray at Foxx with this email:

"I love my Trapp, but it was brought up on Kahr Talk that it could possibly be made thinner by removing or using thinner spacers between the clip and holster. This sounds like a good idea to me because I don't use it as a tuckable holster. Is there any possibility of getting parts to make this happen?"

And Ray was quick to respond with:

"Yes, we have a new set of screws that will make it thinner. Short Bus (< real name) if you would email me your address I can get a new set shipped out to you.

Now that's great costumer service!!! I'll let you guys and gals know how it goes after I get the screws.

Well done my friend. Thanks for taking the time to share your experience. I'll be contacting Ray shortly.

I was planning on shortening the screws up on my grinder and seeing if it worked. I'll be curious to hear your thoughts after you receive the shorter replacement screws.

    Cheers,
    Kevin

I got this email as a response to telling Ray he should make the thinner Trapp an option (in the email giving him my address)

"Short Bus, we are getting the new screws in the mail to you today. We have recently changed the Trapp and made it thinner, and that is how it comes now. Have a nice day.

Just ordered today and Ray said that ALL future Foxx Trapp holsters will have the thinner design. I like that you can adjust these!

You'll love it, it's much better than the Hybrid design.

I asked Ray when they went to the thinner design and he said

"We don't remember exactly but approximately 6-8 weeks ago.

I have a PJ Holster that I am starting to really like, so I will be able to compare.

Good, I would like to know how they compare. One advantage I see for the Trapp is the quick lead time. The PJ looks like it might be a little thinner, making it more comfortable to carry (but I'm not sure how it could be).

No it doesn't, but can be added for $5. That option wasn't available when I got mine.

I got the screws today and got the installed. The spacer and washer that the screw and nutsert set deleted totaled 3/16"

Here's (crappy) pics of before and after the diet

Excellent. I'll be curious how much difference the 3\8 inch delete makes. My short screw set should be here any day now.

No, I thought they might have come yesterday. Soon, I hope.
