Yes, I know what you mean JF.

Depending on what I'm carrying, I carry anywhere from 2 to 3 o'clock, generally at about just before the point of my hip to 3 o'clock. I have arthritis and a forward canted holster is easier for me to draw from. I have trouble drawing from a 4 or 5 o'clock position due to lack of mobility. The forward cant helps because it's also difficult to draw straight up.

The Mitch Rosen, even though a straight draw may work because the CW45 is a fairly small pistol.

I dunno, at this point I'm going to do some more research before I buy a holster. The Remora isn't that great, but it will do until I can get what I really want.

I like a forward cant, belt loops rather than a clip and leather rather than Kydex. I'm finding that there aren't a lot of choices for the CW 45 out there.

I'll take any suggestions anyone may have.

GOG: to me, I cannot AIWB (1-2 oclock) a compact like CW, no problem with subcompacts like CM / PM / G26 etc... I also find that "straight drop" / zero cant works better for AIWB, as the draw angle will be natural. I would need 2 holsters, one ofr AIWB and a different one (with cant) for 3~4 oclock position.

But everyone's built and size are different, so what works for me may not work for you... and vice versa.

I like Mitch Rosen CLP so much that I have it for almost every subcompacts I own, but it is low riding that may not fit what you need. Sounded like a higher riding zero cant might work for you.. give Eric a call, he can custom built his rigs to meet your need, e.g degree of cant, etc.. Take a loook at his 'PRO" model.. it can be clip or loop. (I would not get too excited about the "Pro-TL" as I did find it shifts.. and it is not a good fit foe 2 oclock position). I have 2 rigs from him, I find his work top-notch: http://www.hbeleatherworks.com/

One otehr option is Alessi Talon-Plus, it is higher riding that CLP and it does have a slight cant, I did have one for my CW. (see pix below, 2nd from the right). They use a patented "talon" clip which is , by design, to grab on the pant and not the belt, it actually goes BEHIND the belt. I find the clip functions PERFECTLY as designed. The only reason I sold it was I went with a Milt Sparks VM2 instead.

Give Tom in Alessi a call, he may have one already made for CW45, if not, I think their leadtime is 2 weeks.. may be.

                OWB is from lobogunleather.com/

IWB I went with www.whitehatholsters.com/ because of the replaceable kydex shell.

Remora for me...no belt required and I can move it where ever I want and it stays put.

Apparently, that notch in the rail is supposed to be there...
We need idiot control...NOT gun control.

                    Hidden Hybrid Holsters

From my experience, you won't be as comfortable with a 1 clip holster as you will with any 2 clip holster. Its pretty obvious if you think about it. The two clips distribute the weight of the gun better. My personal favorite is the Hidden Hybrid Holster for my CW9. It can be worn IWB or OWB. I don't have a pic but heres a video. I would have paid twice as much for this thing. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=r-T5knss8G8

If you are on a budget, check out crossbreed seconds. You can pick up a CBST for half price and they are like new. If you want leather, maybe check out UBG. He makes one called the Regulator that is similar to Rosen's Premier only cheaper price. Also, Nate, the owner of UBG is retired military. He does great work and is cheaper than some of the higher end leather experts.

HHH is the way to go...

I concur with SteveO. I purchased a Hidden Hybrid Holster after reading several reviews and am nothing but ecstatic about the purchase. It's an amazing IWB with a soft leather paddle for against the body while a nice Kydex holster and good metal c-clips for around your belt. It also has cut-outs in the leather paddle for wearing OWB for range shooting, etc. I purchased mine in July of this year and have really only recently begun wearing it IWB due to the weather (I normally carry my CM9 in the warm months) as it's getting cold around Nebraska this time of year.

I will be making a youtube video review on this holster after this winter when I've worn it a while. My hope is that you consider this holster since it acts as both IWB and OWB for a great price (uner $65).
