        If the mag is small enough, a cell phone case or knife case are very discrete for CCW.

          And what with the size of some of the phones and electronic stuff I see people wear on their belt you could store a Thompson mag.

          I've used the cell phone case many times, works good.

            My current lineup when headin out. I use a Old Timer knife case as my spare mag holder. It works great when fitted horizontally on my left side over front jean pocket.

              Check out the EDC picture thread with lots of rigs:

              Here's mine:

              Mine is usually the P40 and a 7-round extended-grip reload in the mag holder.

                No. If I did opt to carry something more, it would be another gun, my Seecamp.

                  Most the time. If' I carry a .40 or 45, I have a little blackhawk plastic mag holder that works well. For my 9, I usually just carry it in a pocket since it's so small.

                      Currently I carry a spare mag for both my PM9 and P380. The PM9 mag rides in my pocket but I am looking to change that. I carry the 380 mag in an OWB Tagua single mag pouch.

                        Yes. Kahr CW45 IWB right hip, spare mag left hip. Honestly, for me it has nothing to do with needing the extra rounds. It's all about failure recovery. One of the things I was taught in the military was that one of the fastest ways to recover from a mag failure is a mag swap. If immediate action fails, a quick mag change can sometimes defeat whatever may cause remedial remedies. Just another resource.

                        Also, reference LTC Grossman's training series. If you carry a weapon, have a spare mag. Better to have it and not need it, than need it and not have it.

                          For me;

                          The 7rd XDS .45 single stack (I remove the optional plastic spacer) rides in a large nylon knife pouch.

                          The 6rd CW45 magazine also fits in this same sized pouch.

                          The size for this large pouch is shown as: 5 7/8"L X 2 11/16"W

                          My 6rd cm9 9mm magazine rides in a medium sized knife pouch.

                          The size for this medium pouch is shown as: 4 3/8"L X 2 11/16"W

                          Sorry for the poor quality photos. Hope you find some value in them anyway.

                            Yes! I carry two mags for each of the two guns I carry. Two mags on the belt and two in the pocket. Trust I never need them but as Clint Smith says about a BUG, "One is none and two is one."
