Kidrod,
I can't recommend a specific make/model. That's a personal choice. Women can be pretty fussy about style, fashion, etc.
My wife ordered a cheap one (<$100) from Sportsmen Guide. She's never used it. Junk. What the product description did not divulge is that the purse does not contain an internal holster. We won't make that mistake again.
Here's a blog, written by a female gun writer, that offers a woman's perspective on gun purses. It may help you understand the importance of certain design considerations.

Good luck with your search. Let us know what you select, and how your wife likes it.NRA Life Member

Personally, I'm not comfortable carrying my gun in a purse. The BG's like to steal purses and once my purse is gone, I wouldn't be able to defend myself.
Plus there would be one more bg with an additional gun.
For me purse carry would be my last option.
Here is a list of the ways I carry;
Blade tech eclipse holster (outside the waistband) all my semi-atoumatics
Pocket carry pm9
Flash bang, pm9.. (this model is a fairly recent addition to their line) and LCR 357
Smart Carry, this is a crotch holster that I wear appendix style or at the 8.30 position.

My wife has two purses from Galco. They are extremely well made and use the best leather. She says the materials used and workmanship are better than her Coach leather purses! She is so happy with her Galcos that 99.9% of the time they are used as everyday purses and not for their original purpose. Go figure. The downside is that they are not cheap. The upside is Galcos are stylish, the quality of their leather, workmanship, they will last forever, and they may replace all of your wife's other purses.
Buying purses for women is beyond any man's comprehension. Good luck.

Off-body carry is not a good idea. She has to have the purse on her person 100% of the time, even going to the ladies room. She can't leave it on a chair and ask a friend to watch it, now that friend may be in possession of a concealed weapon illegally.
I use a lockable briefcase for my EDC, for overnight and office storage, and when it's there instead of on my belt I'm too ultra-paranoid about setting it down anywhere.
