I ordered a pocket holster for my PM9 on 4/24 and was told of a 8 week lead time. It is now 2 days from 12 weeks and no holster. Also no communication.

I have decided to cancel. I was really looking forward to getting the holster but I will look elsewhere.

Funny thing is on their website there is feedback from customers claiming to have walked into the store with their gun and having the holster made while they wait.

Just received mine this past Friday. I'm very impressed with the quality of workmanship! Excellent retention...not too tight, not too loose. I also like the way the inside of the holster is smoothed out or almost polished. This means there are no Kydex shavings from drawing and reholstering the weapon. Because I ordered mine during Paul's move to his new shop it did take me 3 months from the time I placed the order (April 15th) until I had it in hand last Friday (July 19th). I must say it was worth the wait.

I wouldn't have minded the long wait but when you are selling something I would think you would let the customer know when you can't meet the deadline.

What is the normal lead time from Pj's?

That's a good question. As this was my first purchase from PJ Holster I'm really not sure. It was just my dumb luck to place my order while he was already in the middle of relocating his shop. I do know there are many other members of this forum who have ordered multiple holsters from Paul who would be better to answer that question for you. Or better yet, you can just shoot Paul an email and I'm sure he will respond promptly to you just as he has with my questions.

Early on Paul got his orders out in about two weeks, but orders for his holsters have soared. Last I heard it was four weeks. You can write to him to find out. He'll answer you e-mail within 24 hours during the work week. Tell him muggsy sent ya. He won't be impressed, but it will make me smile.

I have his pocket holster for the PM/CM9. It's great holster with excellent fit. The retention is about perfect; it's snug and holds the gun while at the same time not being hard to release. It completely covers the trigger.

Having said all of that, I haven't really used it much because I don't pocket carry often. The only bad thing I've seen with it is that it is kydex which means it tends to want to come out with the gun when you draw. The PJ combats this 2 different ways. 1) It has a tail that it is designed to hang in your pocket as you draw but I found that in order to for it to work as designed, I would need to practice forcing it to the back of my pocket as I draw to get it to hang. Otherwise my pockets are so big that it just slips right out on the gun a good portion of the time. But I'm a big guy and the pockets on my pants are usually pretty loose and have large mouths. 2) The very top of the holster is turned out just a little to allow you to release it from the gun with a slight push from your thumb. I found that to be the fail proof way to release the gun from the holster.

But I'm not that fond of pocket carrying because I spend a large portion of my days sitting down and I don't like how it prints in the pocket. That's not the PJ's fault though. I think it does about as good as can be done at concealing what's in the pocket.

Here are some pics. And btw, I didn't mean to sound negative towards the holster. It's probably one of the best options for pocket carrying out there, if not the best, but I'm just not a fan of pocket carrying the CM9. I grab it when I need to make a run to the store or something because it's easy. But if I'm going out for the day, I'm carrying IWB.

Actually I am out of town and I received a call today telling me my holster arrived today. Go figure

P. S. PJ has already answered my email. He is 10 weeks on all his holsters. With that kind of service PJ will be getting all my kydex business.
