AIWB Appendix Carry Tuck Holster Recommendations ?

I pocket carry a PM9 normally but I just picked up a PM45, which seems to print excessively in the pocket, where the PM9 doesnt .

I'm going to try appendix carry for both.

I've ruled out kidney carry completely.

But because I'm sitting (either at a desk or driving) most of my day I am thinking I need the top of the weapon to ride at the top of the belt, no higher.

Also business casual so it needs to be a tuck holster.

Been looking at the Crossbreed AIWB but I am wondering if I can get it to ride at the low height I want it to.

They seem quite proud of their product as far as the price too.

Any recommendations ?

It's really not hard to make one with kydex if you're somewhat of a handy man. Several You tube video's show you how. I made one with not much effort.

I AIWB in a TTGunleather holster. It is great for my MK9 and rides fine.

I doubt that you will find AIWB comfortable when driving, plus the seat belt has a nasty habit of getting in the way. I tuck my CM9 between the split bench front seats when driving. It isn't the best solution, but it works for me.

I don't find it uncomfortable when driving, i just move the gun and holster up a bit and it rides well. I would have purchased a K9 instead of an MK9 if it weren't specifically for carrying AIWB and having the shorter muzzle. Longer slide/muzzle, less comfortable long term when driving. If standing and moving around, longer muzzle helps with concealment and keeping the butt and rear of the gun tighter against your beergut.

You can adjust the ride height on them but I don't think you are going to need that much holster for the pm45 anyway. A company called sentinel gear on ebay or you can google them makes a couple appendix ready rigs.

I've went to AIWB about a year ago. Purchased 2 holsters from JM CustomKydex.com one G23(G22 holster) and a Ruger P90. Spoke with "Toney" John Mayer several times before ordering very helpful guy. As with any AIWB best to wear pants 1 size larger. Even with my spare tire almost forgot it wasn't there the first day even when siting down in a car. Now I have grown some and as pants get tighter you become more aware of the holster but have yet to be outted for carrying and I carry every day. I did inquire about getting one for my CW40 and he said the smaller pistols can flip the grip out and can print which is why he advised the G22 holster for my G23. Now there was a wait maybe like a month. But they are well worth it. And at around $70 you cant beat it. He has come up with a tuckable version I will purchasing soon. I actually wish they would ride a bit higher and the owner said they will have a clip to get ride higher this month. While I don't have one for my PM45, the grip on P380, CM9 and M&P9c sits just above the belt. They are inexpensive, comfortable, adjustable and ship quickly. IMHO, worth a try.

As a general comment on holsters, I have found that a lot of guns in holsters seem top heavy and want to roll over.

I have resorted to in the pocket holster.

I carry my Boberg, (about the size of a PM9 or so) in a Remora holster at about 10-11 o'clock, just to the left of my fly. Seems easier to get to than appendix carry. And the Remora stays put really well in that position. Once in awhile, I carry at kidney position, depending on the clothes I am wearing. The Remora does a good job in that spot too.

I wear front side but just in front of my hip , about a 2:00 position and wear the grip parallel to my belt .


It allows for tucking a shirt if needed and sitting/driving is great . Comp-tac minotaur neutral. I did trim the un-needed leather from bottom. and works well for kahrs small to large model . That is my tp40 that has become my primary up front cc pistol.
