  • Remora holster

I am sorry to report that my back pain on the left side is so intense I am reduced to pocket carry. My CM9 drags down jeans, the P32 works, but I am not happy with pocket carry or using the .32!

So I am trying my CW9 in a remora cross draw position. Anyone else carry this way? Any IWB holster on either side tends to tighten the belt enough to cause some of the ache to return. Any ideas welcome.

Funny thing that you mention this. I was at a party last night with my buds at a local sportsman club and the topic came up about a few of them not being able to carry IWB...due to their pot bellies. I find that if I put on a few pounds during hunting season (because I sit so much and am too busy hunting to hit the gym), IWB carry gets uncomfortable for me when the pants waist gets too tight. My solution is to hit the gym and get my rock hard abs back in shape, so those pants fit better again. I hit my gym about 2-3 hrs a day normally. But that's just me. My advice is to carry the way that is most comfortable for you and assess why other ways don't work well for you. Everyone is different in this regard.

You could always try outside waistband and wear a cover garment. That should help. I have a remora holster and am not 100% sold on it.

      What about a shoulder rig?

      Good luck on your search

I have been wearing this belt and love the adjustability.
It has teeth like a wire zip tie on the underside and is way more adjustable than a belt with holes, and is stiffer than a standard dress belt.

I bought a size bigger to allow room for the holster and it can be trimmed at the buckle end.
I apologize if my post contains the same or similar information as someone who has posted before me.

I wear a Remora with my Boberg 9mm (about same size as CM9) in it, just to the left of my fly on my jeans. Seems easier to draw it that way than if I wear it on my right side up front. And it's easier to take out and put back on when I go to the Post Office or Bank or other no gun places.

I pocket carry a CM9 every day. I have a good belt ( Wild Bill) and wear casual dress pants or chinos. No problem with pocket carry. I seldom wear jeans. I also have a P32 but never carry it anymore because the CM9 is so comfortable. I have tried my Ramora as a cross draw but it never seems to fit right Either too far below the belt or not far enough and moves. OWB holster belly is more comfortable and does OK for my cross draw. If you do not want to carry on a belt consider belly band, shoulder holster, pouch holster a lot of different types available. Always could compromise and go with a CM380 .But personally I would try different pants belt or holster first.

Don't carry mine crossdraw, but I love the versatility and comfort of the Remora. Own one for just about every handgun I own.
