  • Bike tube grips

I saw someone post pictures on the forum where bicycle inner tubes were used for grips. I liked the idea so here are my Kahrs with 1.75-2.125 bicycle inner tubes for grips.

I've never felt the need for them, but I've always thought that if I did then that would be the way I would go. Yours look good ... if you really perfect the technique, you could maybe make a business of it.

I did the same thing on my CW40. Then I found these. They called Griphuggers.

Not bad. Another option to consider is the Hogue grip sleeves. I use them on my 4566 S&W and it's certainly an improvement over the factory grip, though it 'slips' and needs readjustment when using at the range.

I've recently discovered Talon Grips, a bit more expensive ($18, I think) but I really enjoy them so far. Below is the most recent photo of my Kahr with them on.

I got the rubberized ones, they also have a sandpaper/skateboard tape like finish option as well which I think would be better for a range gun. (But I don't want to tear up holsters or clothes by having it rub it on my carry piece).

It's definitely an improvement over the stock Kahr grips, and is thin and doesn't add really any noticeable width difference like some grip sleeves will.

How solid does the tube feel? Does it slide/slip? I bet you could fix that with ease, even if it does.

          Bike tube grips

I haven't tried the bike tube grips at the range but they feel good. They add just a little thickness to the grip and don't feel slippery or slick. They are a very tight fit so they don't move at all.
