Here's a Simply Rugged Sourdough pancake. I was surprised to discover that it really isn't too expensive. It's thick (rugged ), quality leather but it's not stiff. The instructions say no break-in needed. I agree. I did trim a little at the top...not because it didn't fit but because it covered the entire gun. I gotta show a little revolver!

      Nice piece of leather, too.

I own several of their holsters and highly recommend them. They make great gun belts also.

I have several of Simply Rugged's holsters. Good stuff. I recently received a Sourdough Pancake for my Ruger Toklat and am considering a little trim job similar to what you did. Just curious what you used to trim the leather and also if you needed to smooth and or treat the edge after trimming.

Looks great Thanks for the photo. I'm considering one of their holsters for my SP101-3".
High capacity is not an acceptable substitute for good marksmanship.

...just a knife. Then I followed with a bit of sandpaper, then sandpaper soaked in Ballistol, then just rubbed Ballistol in the exposed edge with my fingers.
