Got mine in the mail yesterday. Wore it half of yesterday and all of today. Was in some non-permissive environments and never got a second look. Pretty comfortable too. Anyone else use this method? What are your experiences?

I usually have to wear dress pants for work. As much as I have been a staunch supporter of pocket carry for the past couple years, I find that in dress pants the pocket holster rig sometimes flops around too much as I move, sit, etc. and is sometimes more likely to print in other dress pants. I can carry a larger firearm comfortably in the SmartCarry so far. In other pants the pocket carry is still pretty great.

I EDC with an UrbanCarry. Kind of the same thing.Originally posted by TimtheRef View PostGot mine in the mail yesterday. Wore it half of yesterday and all of today. I normally wear a suit to work, so it conceals nicely. I've never been called out.
alot of people don't like under the waistband holsters, but it works for me. The only time i carry OWB is in the winter when I'm wearing a jacket, I sometimes carry in a yaqui holster.

Agree with everyone above.
EDC is CM9 pocket carry. For deeper concealment, sitting down for long periods, or light weight pants I use the Tacti-Pac Elite .40 S&W Shield with XS Big Dot night sights.
Surprisingly comfortable. More comfort with "stretchy" boxers than my usual cotton boxers.
Advantages: The "boys" are protected against low blows, no pants belt is needed, a one handed draw.
Disadvantages; probably not comfortable with tighty whities, can't undress at gym with out exposing firearm.
Wife notices the grip bulge every time(< I have no follow-up comment to this).

I have pocket carried my MK in dress pants, and it did print a bit, but I don't care. Personally, I could never wear that contraption. If it works for you, that's all that matters. When I wear dress clothes, I use an IWB tuckable holster in leather. I can slide it to a position from one to four. For standing, it's #3 or #4, for dinner, or riding in the car, it's #1 or #2. With the short tuckable, it makes it bearable in combo with the MK. I will always carry either OWB, or front pocket before any other carry. No one yet, has spotted my firearm when using a tuckable holster................pocket carry, that's a different story, but I live in an open carry state, so I don't care if I print.

I bought it last month, and have tested it with the PM9 and Ruger LCP. If feels like an awkward modified appendix carry. To make it work for me, I have to wear fairly loose fitting or baggy pants with pleated front. My cargo pants and khakis shorts with pleated front would work okay, but my jeans would not as they are straight cut, regular fit and relatively low rise.
My wife notices the grip bulge every time I use the Smart Carry Holster and thinks it's a bad idea to carry a loaded gun like that...

A few things I've learned about using a SmartCarry holster:Originally posted by TimtheRef View PostGot mine in the mail yesterday. Wore it half of yesterday and all of today. 1. There is definitely a learning curve. It takes time to become comfortable with this mode of carry, and even more time to become proficient at presenting the weapon.
2. Lower is better. It is more comfortable that way, and I prefer having the muzzle hanging lower than the rest of the package.
3. It works even when seatbelted in a vehicle, and when carried in the sweet spot, causes very little to no discomfort.
4. It's the most discreet method of carry I've used. Carry anywhere on your belt and you might be made if someone bumps into you, someone gives you a hug, etc. With an underwear holster, only you will know it's there. That makes it a great choice when deep concealment is critical.
5. With a bit of practice, I was able to draw more quickly with SmartCarry than with pocket carry. The difference is even more dramatic when in a seated position.
6. SmartCarry is not just for a BUG. With a little practice, it works fine even with a full-size, EDC.NRA Life Member

I agree totally with RRP. Great concealment. Been using one for years.

Not being sarcastic by any means, but i would really like to see you draw while seatbelted... i got my Smartcarry last year for my PM9 and theres no way I can accomplish that. It rests on top of my crotch and the lap belt is lower abdomen area so i'm genuinely curiousOriginally posted by RRP View PostA few things I've learned about using a SmartCarry holster:
