  • My first real belt.

    For now,I only carry a cm9.
    I'm getting a belt. 100.00 range.

So, first, does anybody use a v clip with Velcro?

    There are so many choices.

    Galco sb2
    Comp tac Velcro lined
    Cross breed with Velcro kit
Latigo canyon , offered with Velcro
    Bullhide double stitched.

Those are the ones I liked.

    Which ones do you recommend?
I put that list together from searching around here.

Do you add the internal stiffener when it is an option?

I can't help you........................I use a Wilderness 5 stitch belt............can't beat them, or the price.

Everybody will see a nylon belt. Leather is the only way for me

Wild Bill belt, $60 best I can remember. IMHO no need for internal stiffener with a proper belt.
        Pocket carry CM9.

I purchased a beltman belt about 5 years ago with the internal stiffener. Carried IWB, Glock 30. If I had to do it all again, I would buy beltman, but im really looking at those new ratchet belts, those things would be great for adjustments.

Daltech Force Bullbelt...around $40 IIRC... leather. Plenty thick enough but comfortable. And looks like a normal belt.

Me too. What's the name of the ratchet company? They looked a little thin but dressy...and just stiff enough to work. Someone needs to buy one and give a first hand report.

I'll have to look closer at mine, the guy doesn't make belts anymore but I think his son or nephew took over.

Mernickle makes nice gun belts from plain to real fancy.

There's a ton of choices out there now days.
I used to use the Wilderness 5 stitch myself but it shrunk or something. It was a little diameter sensitive as I recall, had to be a pretty close fit.

I don't think the stiffener is really needed provided as mentioned it's a good leather belt. I think Wynn wears the ones with the poly inserts with good success.

The Kore tracklline is one but if you do a search for "Ratchet Gun Belts" you get several hits.

With the Wilderness belt, you have to order a correct size, but..............there are no holes, so it fits whether you gain weight, or lose it. Stiffener definitely not needed. Lots of people like leather, but personally, I hate getting dressed up for any reason, so I don't need leather.

That one is really doing it for me.

The gunner at hanks is cool, but the buckle reviews got me worried

That looks really good and dirt cheap for as good as it looks. The roller buckle is the ticket and that one looks nice. Not too bulky like some.

I'd not hesitate to go for it myself.

That looks like the one I've been wearing for years and it is holding up great. It was made by some guy referred to from forums, but I don't think he is doing it anymore. Might be the guy Bawanna was trying to think of. I would buy the Daltechforce one. I don't worry about the size changing. My belt size hasn't changed in 40 years.

It's double stitched, roller stainless buckle, beveled edges and sealed edges. Even available with 3/4 hole spacing. It's perfect.
I think I will order the 3/16 and not the 1/4 thick. Doesn't seem necessary with a light weapon.
And I should get the 1.5? Would the 1.25 do?
Seems like the 1.25 would do fine and be much less obvious.
Am I crazy or should I get the 1.5?

Free shipping and has everything I want for 60.00
