The wifey is looking for a fanny pack for her sp101.................something with quick access to the firearm. Anybody using something??????????????

Not often. The fanny pack that carries the best and easiest access is a generic that has one snap and velcro on the right side. I carry my Commander size .45 acp in that one. It has 2 zipper pouches on the front. It is also large, but light grey in color.
I have an Uncle Mikes Medium which has snaps on either side and a wide velcro top mouth. 2 zipper pockets on the front. It takes a little bit of practice to draw. I carry my double stack compact M&P size firearm and just now tried my 4" barrel SP101 327 Federal magnum and it fits.
For a single pouch I have a Pistol Wear PT1. That is for my Shield . It would be too small and light for the Ruger SP101 but they make a larger size PT2. The single magnetic snap works surprisingly well.
I saw a single pouch with an additional side pouch for accessories, called the Ghost Belt (not ghost holster) at a gun show. They have a web site. Personally was not too impressed with ease of access, although trigger can be reached and gun fired while still in pouch. I believe they may then offer a free replacement.
I saw on youtube where Nut'NFancy makes his own using name brand Mfg. fanny packs so as not to be so "gun" obvious = "Yes it's a fanny pack and I am not German"

I have a generic fanny pack, but I can't bring myself to use it. I'm just not a fanny pack kind of guy. Or a Sneaky Pete either.

I carried in a fanny pack for many years. It was convenient. I tried to do all the right things by carrying my keys, wallet, etc in it so it appeared to be other than a hiding place for a gun.
A deputy busted me at the county fair one year, only time I was ever pegged and only because he happened to ask. Apparently there are no guns only during the fair, ok all other times. No big deal.

I don't know what brand mine are, I have a large and a small, brown leather, 2 or 3 pockets. I got one out a couple years ago when I flew to San Diego just to have the basics as I pretty much had to strip the chair to get past TSA.

I'd get the smallest that will work, a woman should be able to pull it off pretty easy and they don't have to adjust their attire to accommodate it.

That's it!!!!! Maybe I'll produce Victoria Secret Fanny Packs. Heck yeah..........I can see that canoe full of money already.

That would be awesome for a guy but I got a feeling the missus won't be tickled with it.

This is a spitting image of what I carried. Also have one much smaller and one in black.
I couldn't find the source of the image to see the brand. There's a ton out there especially for woman.

The little knot up in the corner sticks out and you can grab that with your off hand and tear it open for quick access and it works good. It's a zipper closure so you don't have to announce your draw with the sound of tearing Velcro.

That would be the Colorado Stealth pack from Alaskaleather.

                      Short Jax/fanny pack story

Moved to Jax in '94/left in'04, always carried in a fanny pack.
Mostly wore a bathing suit with the liner cut out thru the 9-10 months of summer because of the heat...no pockets so Fanny Pack.
The first work related social event I went to I was continually harassed about the "sissy sack" along with being a Yankee.
All the guys started to pile on after a few beers when I finally said "where else can I carry my gun?"
The room went quiet, and I was never asked about my fanny pack again.

This the one the wife used for her PM9. She hasn't used it in many years. She feels more comfortable with a holster. So I don't remember all the pluses but there were a lot. She once wore it to a concert and they checked for cameras and didn't pick up on the PM9. Something about one of the buckles acting as a lock to the pistol compartment. Just looked at the price, PRICE SKOCK ! Didn't pay that much back then.
But it's real quick to draw from 1.50 sec. max. And the gun is really concealable

I noticed a big difference while carrying in a fanny pack.
I'd often dig around for my wallet/money and never had a cashier notice my black PM9 but they'd get bug-eyed at the sight of my silver slide CW9.

I picked this up on Amazon for $10.

VISM by NcStar Small Utility Pouch - you'll have to search it on Amazon as I'm remote now.

It it fits my PM9 perfectly and has room for 2 spare mags in the outside pouch.

Got it to go with my fly fishing gear. Nice.
