  • Recommendation for Kahr MK9 Pocket holster?

I really love this new MK9. It's so tiny. So pocketable. Problem is, unlike my CM9, it's a heavy little thing and bounces/flops around a bit in my pocket unsecured. I used to have an LCP in a pocket holster and it was super tiny, too.

When my clothes allow good concealment, I usually carry my 4.25" 1911 officer (CCO) in a appendix IWB or 3-oclock OWB holster. It's my ideal primary carry. I got the MK9 to replace my CM9 I used when lightly dressed. Well, I wore my MK9 in an IWB apendix holster yesterday and it was actually TOO small for that, haha. It was so small it kept folding over whenever I sat down because there wasn't enough gun there to position it and keep in place.

Can someone recommenced me some MK9 pocket holsters to look into?

Another 1911 fan, makes me smile.

I don't believe in pocket carry myself, but I strongly discourage you from carrying any gun in you pocket without a secure and good holster. Ever.

I sent you a PM on your other issue just now.

I've been carrying mine in a Desantis Nemesis for 7+ years. I also use a High Noon tuckable which is very comfy at appendix position.

I have been carrying my PM9 for a few years in one of these:

        Supposed to fit MK9 too.

Beautiful 2-Tone. I’ve got to see more of that gun! What is the finish on the slide?

I’ve been playing with the idea of having my front strap checkered or stippled and then the bottom hard-chromed with QPQ Nitride or DLC Ionbond on the top half.

I like my Azula. Very thin and preformed and holds its shape. I use it in the summer with shorts for my MK40

I like my El Paso Saddlery Horse Hide pocket holster. Galco make a horse hide one that is very similar.

The finish is Birdsong. They only did about 400 with that finish.

Birdsong? Some quick googling suggests that might be "Black-T" coating I've seen around.

I use a DeSantis on a different weapon. It works, is comfortable, durable, and inexpensive.

Walter Birdsong. That be the same...………...they did a run of 400 back around 2000, and gave them LTD serial numbers. It's a great coating, and really does work well with not a lot of lubing. Mine has mainly had a home in a Desantis pocket holster, and after about 9 years, it is starting to show a little wear on the sides of the slide, and it can scratch if something sharp crosses it vertically.

Mika pocket holster is a very good holster. It stays put in the pocket when the pistol is drawn. Mika holsters are known for pocket carry of small Smith and Wesson Revolvers.
