Everyone is different. Many holsters don't seem to have enough leather on them for my tastes, last thing I want is to stumble a bit and my handgun falls out onto the ground.

I like this style for sure. What is the retention like, I want it tight. Also, how is it to re-holster the gun, I don't want the top closing down?

Thanks! The retention is very good. I've been using that holster for quit some time now, on a daily basis and have never had the gun show any signs of movement. It is easy to reholster the gun one handed, although it does close down a small amount... maybe 25% of original. I may try adding a "stiffener" piece as an option, but I prefer when a holster does not have that additional thickness, unless really needed.

I like that, but it seems so long for a PM9/CM9, or is the picture just a little deceiving?

          Any thoughts on this one?

It isn't any longer than it has to be. The muzzle sits less than 1/4" from the open bottom. It is a full coverage holster and the one above is not. It is a very high rise holster, and I know it looks long, but that is actually advantageous for concealment, and it is very comfortable when seated because the muzzle doesn't extend below the belt and dig into your hip.

I personally don't like the muzzle sticking out where it can bang against stuff and get scratched and marred. So abbreviated holsters like that one don't appeal to me.
            Very interesting...

Stumprat.... You may want to look at the Garrett Silent Thunder OWB. We talk a lot about the IWB model and how well it conceals, but the OWB version is also good.

I wish Garrett made an all leather version, you can choose between leather inside or outside, but not both apparently.

Are you able to make this in a straight-drop?

I ended up getting this one, but it's not in my hands yet.

I'm not sure how I could do that AND keep the full combat grip possibility. I'll have to look around for other stright holsters and see how people make them.

Yeah, I wondered about that. I have a kydex holster that I have been able to adjust to make it a straight-drop while maintaining a combat grip but I'm considering leather for OWB.

We do make all leather holsters. I have alot of customers that like custom stuff you can't find anywhere else and leather is a good medium for personal expression. While the Silent Thunder line is an excellent, durable holster, limited color options and textures of kydex sometimes have to make way for aesthetics.

Any suggestions on a leather paddle style holster for the PM9 / CM9 with Crimson Trace?

                                Hi JFootin,

If you have any more photos of that high-rise, I'd love to see em'.

                                Thanks.
