Silent Thunder Fusion should I purchase?

I have the Silent Thunder and love it, it is a great holster. Curiousness, as of late, has me thinking about trying one of these hybrid holsters, probably the Theis holsters, which with the discount Ron was gracious enough to give us the Silent Thunder Fusion cost just about the same.

So the question, if I have been wearing at the 3 to 3:30 would the hybrid holster be anymore comfortable then the Silent Thunder? Would they be about the same. What do the people think which have both?

I don't have any personal experience with any of the hybrids, but form what others have said about their various brands, I would think that it would be more comfortable. BTW, I WANT one of those Fusions!:hungry:

What gun will it be for? I would like to see
A side pic of the fusion to see how thick the backing

If you are carrying a full size heavy gun the ST Fusion would be an excellent choice. As you can see below it is a fairly compact hybrid with soft leather face and the Kydex lined with the same, protecting your gun's finish.



If you are carrying a compact gun such as the CM/PM series I recommend the Silent Thunder IWB. If it's a dual attachment you are after try the dual loop option.



If you aren't sure you want dual loop, start with a single clip as you can always buy the dual attachment later. It just replace the clip.

The Fusion would be for a CW9. I already have the Silent Thunder and I love ut, just wandering how the hybrid holsters would feel, and carry.

Old Lincoln are you saying the Fusion is for the full size guns primarily

I thinking the Fusion just works better with the larger guns than the ST does. I'm sure the Fusion works great for smaller pistols just like the ST does since I have a Crossbreed for my PM9 and it works fantastically. I'm trying to decide which is more compact of these two, and which is more comfortable. When I finally find that out, I can decide which I will buy for my PM9. But I believe either will work for the small pistols since my hybrid holster works great.

The Fusion is a 2 clip which spreads the load of a heavy gun to 2 points on the belt. The CM/PM don't usually require that and the single clip is easier and quicker to put on and remove.

It may be more comfortable for some depending on body type. My ST has found a home just behind my hip joint and I have grown so used to it I honestly don't realize it's there. I have an older Tucker Answer (before the Fusion was out) that is similar to the Fusion that I carry my heavy 1911 in. It is comfortable but wide enough to spread the front clip over the hip joint to get the gun in it's nest and the other clip behind the nest. It is comfortable but I definitely know it's there.

Any of the 3 Silent Thunder holsters would do you well. I perceive you really want the Fusion so maybe that's the one for you. Holsters are an individual preference thing so get what you really want. Nobody makes Nano holsters yet. What the heck are the mold makers waiting for? The economy needs help and I'm ready to step up. While I wait, I'm using a High Noon Split Decision.

I'd love a Fusion or Desbiens IWB #3 or a James Dean or even a Galco King Tuk or the ventilated hybred on Beretta's own website.

I struggled with the same issue regarding the ST holster. I decided the fusion may be suited for my heavier guns. I went a different way and bought a PJ holster formed of a single piece of kydex. Not nearly as versatile, not tuckable, not leather lined, but VERY flat and comfortable. I really see a need for both. Check posts further down.
