  • Great looking guns guys! I sure liked my full size Kimber, sometimes I wish we'd never have parted ways.

    • My one and only 1911

Judging by today's left wing, looks like Senator Joe McCarthy was right after all.

Is that a Kim Pro mag? Doesn't look stock. Sweet looking grips. You done well.
I've lost my memory, and I can't remember where I put it.

Thx Deano. Yes, it is the Kim Pro mag with the flat plate base. I wasn't sure about the grips when I ordered them, but the more I look, the more I like.

            • Here's my Baer. It's been ridden hard and put away wet many times.

              • For being rode hard and put away wet it seems to be holding up very well. It's a beautiful thing.

I just gotta know, who's Fodder are you?

                  • Bobby,
I like what you've done to that GSG

I'm pretty fond of all my 1911s, but darn if the Remington R1S isn't becoming my favorite.

Found a wide spur for it a while back and i'm pleased with how it's performed:

                    Regards,

                    • It's funny the things that will warm a persons heart. I just love that wide spur hammer.

Reason enough to get a GI style with no beavertail so I can have one too?

                      I think so.

Gb and Bawanna! Yep love the old wide spur on a 1911. I like the moded 1911 to 1911a1. Had one issued to me in navy. It was made in 1918 if I rem and they did a arsenal refinish. Arched new trigger but kept the safety. Dang now I gotta look this up. Haha I'll be back got something mixed up in my mind.

Ok they only replaced trigger, MSH, sights, and opened the ejection port a bit. It shot great, tight n a 5-6 lb trigger pull.

That's it. I hated to turn it back in almost lost it in the field. Wink! But oh well!

                            Bobby

Ps had to look at pic from back in the day.
