Absolutely not too heavy to carry in a good IWB holster. I carry the K40 in a Tommy Theis Horsehide, which is like the Crossbreed. I've been a Milt Sparks VM2 proponent for years but the Crossbreed style holster from Tommy is excellent, with great price, delivery time and customer service.

Personally I do not find the K9 to be to heavy for pocket carry, tho lately I have been using my 2 1/4" Ruger SP101 (it just slides into my pocket so nicely and with those awesome Bawana grips it feels awesome in the hand).

I use a Bianchi ATB holster for that K9 and sometimes I will clip the holster to the pocket edge instead of dropping it on down in. I also have a couple Desantis Superfly pocket holsters but they are bulkier.

With a quality belt, I like my DeSantis, I actually prefer a stainless auto/revolver
for pocket carry as a primary weapon.
Really don't find it too heavy at all.
But I regularly carry a pocket gun as a backup (NY reload) to my primary gun on a belt.
        With a 25/30 oz primary, and twin mag reloads, on the belt;
I find an all stainless ~25 oz pocket gun just too much.
        For me anyway.

Backup duty goes to my 13.5 oz loaded S&W 342 ti.
It's so light I can't even tell I'm carrying it.

Didnt read the thread, just wanna give my .02

I dont find the K series to be...heavy. With a good holster you shouldnt have any issues.

My issue with claims of weight being such an issue is the fact that usually, they are using cheap holsters with no gun belt. Get a quality holster/gun belt and you shouldnt have an issue.

I love the K series pistols. I did a review on it and talk a little more in depth on the weight.

the weight, simplicity, thinness yet ample length of the grip all make the K9 a great gun for the novice shooter.
I hate being bi-polar, its awsome!

Hi, all. I just joined this forum as I have just acquired an immaculate used K9 Elite 03. I love how it feels in my hand and shoots, and look forward to carrying it. It is more compact and less complicated than the two guns that I carry now, a Sig P239 and a Kimber Ultra CDP, both in 9mm, and they all weigh about the same, 25 oz empty. I have no problem carrying my current pistols (and I really like both of them), so I hardly think that it would be too heavy to ccw.

If your wrist isn't too limp to shoot it; then it isn't too heavy to carry.

I carry my K9 IWB and it's comfortable, but pushes the envelope for me.

I carry a K9 IWB in the cooler weather.
                      I carry my CM9 with shorts & T-shirts.
It's more psychological than anything, less clothes, lighter weapon.
K9 doesn't feel any heavier but with heavier clothes I don't notice it at all.

. My PM9 has over 34,000+ rounds through it, and runs much better than an illegal trying to get across our border
