I feel the same way a lot of the time. I believe the 9 is fine but some days you just feel happier picking up the 45 although I will say the k9 to me is the superior gun as far as feel and ccw. I wish I would have bought a k9 long before now or just a kahr for that matter. Bought my first kahr "cw45" just a few months ago.

One thing for sure, a hit from a 45 the attacker goes backwards! A hit from a 9mm, not so much. I still prefer the k9 for carry (The 1911 pokes my pecker....)My New Web Store!

Do you have a scale where you can load them up and compare the weight? One advantage IMO to the K9 is that you can get the 1911 style Crimson trace lasergrips, they add virtually nothing to the profile, the laser is close to the bore axis and the activation is instinctive. That was always one thing I didnt like about the polymers, it was hard to find a laser without altering the profile of the weapon.

I have LaserLyte SITE MOUNTED on one of my T9's and really like it.
It takes the place of a rear site so it's very close to the bore access. It's not trigger activated but it does become instinctive to operate with your trigger hand thumb (button activated on/off). I had a site pusher made to fit the profile so I could install it, and adjust it myself. Cheap, easy, and very reliable.

Just to satisfy my own curiosity I got out the kitchen scale (I make no claims as to it's accuracy). 7 Rounds of 230 gr .45 weigh 6 oz and 8 rds of 124gr 9mm weigh 4 oz. So if you add up the CW45 (19.7 oz) + mag (2 oz) + 7 rds (6 oz) = 27.7 oz
And the K9 (23.1 0z) + mag (1.9 oz) + 8 rds (4 oz) = 29 oz so yeah I'd say it's a wash. For comparison purposes my Glock 23 with 13 rds 165 gr weighs 36 oz.
Dang you guys, now you got me wanting a K9!
