  • Crossbreed holster for k9? "opinions please"

I may be biased as the owner Mark Craighead was a very dear friend of mine. We laid him to rest yesterday in a cool Missouri rainstorm. I am proud to say that I use his holsters exclusively for my Kahr pistols. They are the most comfortable IWB rig I have ever found. They are also pretty much bulletproof. I know they have had a number of them sent in for repair that had been shot, run over, etc. and still functioned as intended. The owners just wanted them to look better. I use the Minituck for my Kahrs, and also have one of their Superslides for winter carry under a jacket. You cannot go wrong with the holsters or the company. Mark was one of those rare men who walked the walk. He gave back to the community, his employees, and a long list of strangers in need. I know Crossbreed will continue to be that sort of business after his passing. Good folks there, and they all have their hearts in the right place. You can send your business to them and both be happy with the product and with where you sent your hard earned dollars.

Have two. Love the slide OWB for my J frames. Found the single clip IWB (QwikClip) to be lacking stability for my Glocks. Go with the two clip models, I should have!

I have one for my cm9 and i love it. Comfortable, supports so well you don't even know you have it on. Like my first one so much just ordered another for my kimber super carry ultra! Worth every penny.

Should I go with the mini tuck or the super tuck? the k9 is just a little bigger in size compared to the cm's

I've got a half dozen or so for various pistols, I found the minituck works great for the kahrs. (not need to carry anything bigger than you need)

Not to muddy the waters, and by no means take away from Crossbreed, but I have had great success with Comp Tac's MTAC and they are all I use now. My Kimber, Glock 20, and Glock 29 have all been very comfortable in MTACs. My E9 will wear one as soon as I finish collecting enough pennies.

                I have three CBST holsters.

Two for GLOCKS and one for Kahr K9/MK9.

Very comfortable for all day wear.

After going though other IWB holsters, I tried a CBST horsehide. It's now the only IWB holster I'll use. I use them for my K-40 and Glock 23.

i dont have a CB but i do have a Galco copy (King Tuk). being of the same design id say the CB would be about one of the very best and comfortable IWB rigs you can own.

I bought a Mini Tuck for my PM9 and I use it for ALL of my polymer Kahrs, except for the P380, which has its own Mini Tuck.

The K9 fits fine, as does the P40. The PM45 required just a tiny bit of extra pressure the first time to insert. Varying belt tension keeps the pistols in place when wearing the holster. I good gun belt is advised. My EDC photos show all four polymers in the PM9's Minituck.

The K9 had the loosest fit, but belt tension works for it as well, though I don't CC the K9.

If you want the guns to be retained when you hold the holster upside down, only the PM45 stays in place, though, but mine are secure enough for me with my belt tightened for carry.

Thanks. I know that I have done that before.

I think that you're stuck at that page, though, and can't go forward or backwards from that post??

This would be my first time using the CB IWB holster myself I've always used owb kydex holsters which are really comfortable and allows for easy draw but really hard to conceal.

If you can find a used one, go for it, they don't require the normal breakin period coz someone already did it for you Here's one I got from ebay specific for the Kahr K9 plus he threw it some goodies to sweeten the deal

If it applies to you, read the FAQ's at Cross Breed and check on discounts... current NRA members, any military, firemen, or LEO's get 10% off... maybe other first responders, too. You have to put the discount on your order.
