  • Kahr K45 Pistol?

I am a little miffed why after all this time, Kahr has never produced an all stainless or stainless slide/alloy frame K45? I already put the suggestion on Kahr's website. Hopefully others will too.

    Join the club.

I believe Kahr has long abandoned development of their metal framed gun line. Plastic is much cheaper and more profitable for all the gun makers.

I was in that club for a long time. But I finally broke down and got a CM45. Dang! I shoulda done that a long time ago. Not that I wouldn't trade it in on an MK45 in a heartbeat.

My yearning for a K45 weakened when I got my PM45. That little thing is quite a character.

          I'd take a serious look at a K45.

          I do have and occasionally carry a .45 (XDM 3.8) but with today's SD ammo I'm more inclined towards 9mm. I'd like to see a T95, a T9 with a 5" barrel.

I'm pretty happy with my P45. I think the polymer, though ugly, soaks up a lot of the recoil, weight notwithstanding.

I am pleased with my MK9 and K9 and have no desire for a K45. I might be tempted to get one if they ever make one to add to the collection.

I have a CM45 and a CW45, but have been longing for an MK45 for years. I'm quite fond of my MK40 but an MK45 would be sooooooo much better.

Have a T9 and K9, but would purchase either in a heartbeat if offered in a 45!

I lobbied them the first year of production after buying two K9 Elites and an MK9. We'll never get a K45.
I just cannot not do polymer. Try as I might they always get sold.

A K45 would be a nice addition...................I think that 9mm is plenty for the MK's.

I own everything in 40 S&W, and it would seem logic for Kahr to offer an all steel version. It has to be simply cost prohibitive for them to make. The MSRP could be $200 over the K40 and plastic is popular on their end only because of cost. A K45 makes sense and even if the market would be small, I would be part of that group.

I wish profit was not always the top concern, many companies offer limited editions. The K45 would be fantastic!

I used to want a K45, too, but after 5 years of polymer Kahrs, I just want a P45 DLC with Trijicon HD Night Sights... yellow, but I'll have to wait until OUR finances recover... and Trijicon makes the HD sights for Kahrs. :-(

The PM9 DLC was my first polymer, then the new PM45 DLC and new P380... then the Mag-na-ported P40, and finally a P9 DLC. The P9 weighed 8 ounces less than my K9, so I sold my 14-year-old K9. I prefer to carry the P-series now.

                            Wynn :-)

Yeah, that was a sad day...sniff. But I understand. I started carrying the CM45 just because it is new and needs rounds through it...and now it seems like it's moved in. But I'll never sell my steelies.
