            • I have the following Kahr:

K9, serial number BF062X, black receiver on a stainless steel frame, highly polished ramp and throated, old style sights with no dimple inside, marked with a "U" stamped on the frame. It came with 7 and 8 round magazines.

It is completely reliable and quite accurate. Even during the "break-in period", it never had one FTF or FTB!!! One change - I wish the metal portion of the grip came with subtle checkering or slight grooves as an option.

              • Opps. I forgot to mention that I purchased the Two Tone K9 in December 2008. I do not know when it was manufactured.

                • Hi,
These links in the original post appear to be broken.

Note: As Covert models are not marked as such on the slide, please include that info in the post if it is. Official model designations and photos can be found at the following links:

                  9mm Kahrs here
                  40 S&W Kahrs here
I'm guessing they have changed the site since it was posted. I think the new link to pictures for the offical model designations and phones would be this link:

                  • I just bought a used Karh TP9. :-D

                    YD60xx - TP9 - date unknown

According to the Karh Model Legend the model # would be TP9093

It is the original type TP9 w/ the shorter P9 size stock.

                    • KAHR MIGHT BE ABLETO TELL YOU WHEN THEY CHANGED. I would certainly think they could give u the date of birth of your kahr...

MNormally the covert models are shorter grips andusually one shot less magazine than a normal kahr. Lets sayt a P9 which is 7 rounds, would not be cut down to take a PM magazine which is 6 rounds. and Yes u would still have the original P9 slide and barrel, same with the TP9
KMany here on this forum have dne the covert mod themselves and they look like factory to. I kinda think kahr got away from the covert version when they started to offer the PM series. If u have a factory covert, u have a nice gun.

Kahrs should be able to kanswer most of ur questions. I have had the best results in just emailing kahr: attn: Jay and posing ur questions, that way yhe has time to research and get back to you. They are retty good about that to, IMO..
. My PM9 has over 34,000+ rounds through it, and runs much better than an illegal trying to get across our border

                          • I recently purchased a PM4543, with serial SV55**, and it was produced in may 2012. It does not have the "bevel" but has the notch.

do the propper prep thing and then shoot it like u stole it. the bevel on sum was necessary and on others not necessary. the notch is needed or it willsoon make its own notch...
