I am really tired of losing brass, and even worse, getting it in the face and forehead. I have biased the ejector nose slightly, like I would to help a 1911, but it still ejects anywhere from 3:00 to 7:00, with most going right over my shoulder towards 5:30 - 6:00. about 1/10 bounces off my noggin, or parts my hair.
I tried the 1911 diagnostic trick off removing the magazine and firing single rounds - 5 of 10 dropped down the mag well, one stovepiped - only 4 made it out.
It is looking like extractor tension is low, and it is losing control of the fired case as the next round is getting pushed up by the magazine. The extractor bottoms in the groove, but does not seem to contact the edge of the rim - it also looks like it is striking the case forward of the groove, as if it were too long.
What next? more spring tension? trim the hook so it bears on the rim? Anyone????
