          Just traded my P938 for a MK9 (and cash ). Action type aside, while the MK is bigger, all steel just has a feel you can't beat!

          polymer = disposable
          aluminum = normal service life
          steel = heirloom quality

            I bought an MK9 last week too. All the raving about them eventually wore me down. It pocket carries for me just fine and works in all my PM9 holsters. It sure has a fat slide release though.

              When did the MK9 become bigger than the P938? Heavier yes, but not bigger.

                I really like that mag holder... Care to share where you got it from?

                EDIT: Found out it's made by one of the board locals: "BEARDOG". Thanks guys, order placed...

                  The Hogue grip might fatten it up enough for your tastes, if you want to give that a try.
                  John, I've been waiting for the P938HD since they came out with the P938. I finally gave up, got tired of waiting and bought an MK9. If Sig ever brings it out, I'll have one. Love my 2-P238HD's I'm hopeful because the owners manual of a P938 gives the specs for both the aluminum framed gun and and steel framed gun. So I think we'll get it eventually, but who knows when. I love all steel guns. Old school I guess.

                      With Sig coming out with all kinds of P238 and P938 in every flavor, I am sure the HD is on their radar. Pay attention to Shot Show, you might just get your wish. :-)

                        The MK9 is far superior in quality and reliability compared to the 238 or 938 from Sig.
                        I was interested in those models, but owners report numerous issues, majority of them being sent back for repairs within 1000rds....not a good thing, but then again Sig's reputation and quality has gone down the gutter since EXETER started things back in 2005 or so

                          Here is a side by side of the MK9 and 938. On the width picture, never mind the height difference, I was merely showing the width difference with the wood grips. I didn't align the tops of the guns in that pic.

                          I love the feel of the MK9 over the 938. With wood grips, the MK9 is beefier.

                          I traded the 938 for the MK9 (friend) then the friend sold the 938 to my father after 6 months. The 938 is a nice gun, but not on the same level as the MK9. The only reason to choose the 938 over the MK9 is if you despise DA triggers in my opinion. The MK9 is superior in build quality. I even upgraded the 938 (as you can see) by swapping out the plastic main spring housing and plastic trigger (both for aluminum). The G10 grips were nice, but I was fine with the wood as well. For the MK9, the wood grips for me was a liked and worthwhile improvement.

                          If the 938 came in an HD version it might come down to trigger preference, but as an aluminum frame and some plastic parts gun it doesn't ooze the quality feel the MK9 does.

                            I've just never warmed up to carrying single action pistols. Not that there's anything wrong with that. I do love taking the full size 1911 to the range tho.

                              I agree. I don't care for SA as a CCW, and I don't like "cocked and locked" as a carry mode.

                                I want to like the 938. I really do. I just havent warmed up to it. I have an MK9, and other small 9mms so the 938 just doesnt do it for me. Granted I havent shot one. I am just going on handling one at the gun counter. But they sure do seem popular.
